theguyinallblue Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Dravid has played for Kent..and he was the one who strongly backed the selection of John Wright in 2000... even then Dravid played under wright during county stint..... now also...Dravid is advocating for Ford... and if he is saying so....we must select ford... Not like Ganguly..who backed Chappel..and got bitten on his ass by chappel :hysterical:... Ford for the new coach... also i just saw in a news channel that Ford has officially applied for the job... god knows what will happen.. so
Gambit Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Dravid is quite astute when it comes to this and I do trust his judgement. If he is in favour of Ford, then I have no complaints. :top: Akshat 1
Bumper Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Dravid recommended Wright & Moody. So yes, if he recommends Ford over Whatmore BCCI should listen to him as opposed to Gavaskar
yoda Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Where is Sandip Patil? I can't understand why the guy doesn't deserve a shot.
kumble_rocks Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Gavasker should not in that selection panel . This idiot has already criticized Whatmore in his column. So , no matter what spins he gives now, he won't be a honest broker in my opinion.
suma25 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 But where is it said that Dravid favours Ford? Chandan, It was said in the media that a senior player who has played for kent had suggested graham ford's name and so..
theguyinallblue Posted June 4, 2007 Author Posted June 4, 2007 BREAKING NEWS... Dave whatmore out of race ...' its Ford and surprise surprise.. Arjuna Ranatunga.. now..this is interesting... BCCI never fails to suprise us..:haha:
Predator_05 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Pathetic. I can't believe they ditched Whatmore. The BEST possible man for the job was right there for the taking, and they ditch him. Stupid Indians ! They will never learn. Condemned to be losers forever.
beetle Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 Dravid is a sensible chap...............rather trust his judgement han that senile Gavaskar...(:confused_smile:it's becoming harder by the day to respect him)
yoda Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 this is what happens when you don't have a professional approach and everyone is allowed to interject themselves with their opinion in any forum and at any stage. actually they did follow a decent process (it appeared so) last time and we had disastrous results. may be this random approach will help us land someone good.
zubinpepsi Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 this is what happens when you don't have a professional approach and everyone is allowed to interject themselves with their opinion in any forum and at any stage. actually they did follow a decent process (it appeared so) last time and we had disastrous results. may be this random approach will help us land someone good. typical indian!!!! :)
Cricketics Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 okay if its between these two guyz only then i would pick ford, rather then that tunga.. why the heck they even nominated tunga..if they wanted to pick any "aera gerah coach aka faaltu with no experience" then they should have had picked one from India..
King Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I thought the coach was to be selected yesterday. How come they still haven't finalized yet? Ranatunga will sure bring back Sehwag ASAP
King Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 I think Amarnath or Sandeep Patil are more qualified than Ranatunga for coaching.
Predator_05 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 The Taj caterers would have to work overtime if that fat p rick becomes India's coach. Look at him FFS ! How on earth could the Indian players take this lardball seriously ?
jf1gp_1 Posted June 4, 2007 Posted June 4, 2007 feel bad for whatmore. quit BD in a hope to net Ind but we want "auto-mobile"
Chandan Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 Chandan' date=' It was said in the media that a senior player who has played for kent had suggested graham ford's name and so..[/quote'] Thanks, Suma. Wonder how Dravid knew him apart from playing against SA when Ford was their coach in '00!
max1_ Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 actually they did follow a decent process (it appeared so) last time and we had disastrous results. may be this random approach will help us land someone good. Good one :haha:
King Tendulkar Posted June 5, 2007 Posted June 5, 2007 If they pick Ranatunga then gavaskar should be deported. This is his crazy idea! He has no proven track record in coaching yet we are going to make him our coach!
