I'd pick Mukund and Rahane but Style Boy VJ got a hundred vs Australia and will be the opener. All 3 should be picked since we need a reserve opener. Please don't make a middle order player open because Sehwag/GG will be back. Pick specialists. I just hope that they don't pick some failure from the past due to "experience" or runs in that country on a previous tour (Chopra/Jaffer). Unlikely but you never know with our selectors.
Would agree on both counts. Hope they don't recall Jaffer because he made 200 in WI last time :nervous:

hope the south indian selector srikanth selects manoj tiwari. serious questions will be raised if he picks vijay' date=' or mukund.[/quote'] Vijay and Mukund are two of the most consistent openers in domestic cricket and Tiwary is a middle order bat!!

Gambhir says kept in dark about injury, BCCI contradicts More... Gambhir says kept in dark about injury, BCCI contradicts Agencies New Delhi, May 26, 2011 The Board of Cricket Control in India on Thursday contradicted Gautam Gambhir's version that he was unaware about the seriousness of his injured shoulder. According to TV reports quoting sources within the BCCI, Gambhir knew about the situation and questioned the possibility of him choosing club over country. There are also reports that the BCCI is asking about the controversy from the KKR management. According to media report, KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir has claimed that management of his franchise did not tell him about the seriousness of his shoulder injury. If this is true then KKR management will be answerable. The BCCI, however, has not yet officially reacted to this row. The top national selectors are waiting for report on Gambhir's injury. Earlier on Wednesday, both the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the KKR management dismissed the concerns about Gambhir's injury. "We have not received any intimation from Gambhir on being ruled out of the West Indies tour through injury. In fact, just today he applied for an England visa, where India will be flying on their way to the Caribbean," a top BCCI official said on Wednesday. Gambhir's IPL franchisee was puzzled. "Gambhir hurt his shoulder in the last match (against Mumbai Indians on Sunday), but it's a minor issue. We have even sent a report to the BCCI stating that it's not a serious injury," said a KKR official.

Stop needless allegations of bias. If its not Southie bias, then its CSK bias, if not CSK bias then accusations of being stubborn. :headshake:

we have seen srikanth has always selected a tamil nadu player whenever a player was injured in the middle of a series.:winky:

So because he is a Southie, any southie player he picks is a case of bias? So If a northie is a selector, any northie player he picks indicates bias?

How many Tamilnadu players are regulars in the side?
AND the few that are there in squads...cant really say there are not there on merit..I mean suggest alternatives..?
