achilles Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 ^ Don't take it on yourself. I was making a general statement.
jusarrived Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 this is a little rich coming from Mumbai fans of all the people . I rate Rahane highly & I think he should get a chance soon ..but he is fighting for a middle order position with the likes of Kohli & Pujara , not with Mukund . Both have superb techniques from what I have seen , infact if I have to pick 3 youngsters with best technique atm it would be Kohli , Mukund and Rahane . btw I dont see any mumbai fans complaning about how Rohit sharma keeps making it to the sqaud .
div Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 ^ mumbai players are talented, they deserve more chances :winky:
Karan114 Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 btw I dont see any mumbai fans complaning about how Rohit sharma keeps making it to the sqaud . :--D

div Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 ^ Dont you think Raina could' date=' and should, have been left out?[/quote'] Sulieman Benn-Left arm spin Bishoo-Leg spin Mukund n Raina-Left handed batsmen
Cricket Tragic Posted May 29, 2011 Posted May 29, 2011 You don't need to pick a batsman specifically for Benn. He is a crap bowler.
Trichromatic Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I would have picked both of them tbh. This. Both batsmen are suited for test cricket.
jusarrived Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 again it was never Rahane vs Mukund , instead Rahane vs Raina/Kohli/Pujara
asterix Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 I think Raina has got a fair chance in Test cricket. Looking forward to Rahane and Pujara's stint in Test cricket. Mukund has the temperament, he needs to sort out some technical aspect of his batting. Not sure about Nohit. I'm not convinced about this argument of him being a "lazy genious" ala VVS Laxman.. Nohit cannot afford to have a lazy approach about his cricket..I think he is pretty content about his Career. IPL is giving him the necessary moolah..He doesn't looks keen to excel..
Sooda Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Both Rahane and Mukund should play vs WI. If Pujara is fit and scoring, he too. Ideal oppo to try out a few new faces. youre roight jusarrived Rahane is a top order bat really hopefully Mukund will come good and GG has a few good years in him so Rahane can play at 3 or 4... My team vs Wi- Gambhir, Mukund, Laxman, Rahane, Sehwag, Pujara, Parthiv, Ojha, Ashwin, Praveen, Munaf
Midfielder Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Frankly I am surprised how well Rahane has played. My problem with him was that he never opened the inning for Mumbai. Right now I would say he should keep on opening the innings. As far as Mukund vs Rahane I would say I am happy for both of them and they both should play. I am little bit upset with Sehwag declaring himself fit before he really was.

He didn't wanted to tour..but he had to "declare himself fit"..He was under pressure as it was his decision to delay his surgery and keep playing IPL matches..He wanted to take a chance and to prevent any criticism of him preferring IPL Tamasha cricket over Test cricket and important tours..at the end it didn't worked out for him.. But he has his focus firmly fixed now on IPL and Advertisement career.. He'll continue to play Test cricket on Flat-Track conditions (Subcontinent wickets)..He'll try to excuse himself from tough abroad tours..

daryl1985 Posted September 5, 2011 Posted September 5, 2011 Rahane is class but i think Mukund is promising and has definitely shown signs that he is a future test player for India.
rkt.india Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Both Rahane and Mukund should play vs WI. If Pujara is fit and scoring, he too. My team vs Wi- Gambhir, Mukund, Laxman, Rahane, Sehwag, Pujara, Parthiv, Ojha, Ashwin, Praveen, Munaf I dont see Parthiv as a test wicketkeeper. He is the worst wicket keeper world has ever seen and instead of playing Munaf we should try new guys if Ishant is not fit. Sehwag may not be fit so SRT should play.
Sidhoni Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 Why the f*** do they dont play Mukund in LOI's? Well, even if he plays, Im sure that he Rahane is better, not sure in tests though.
glogirl Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 i'll go with both of them for test....as both of them has good avg in domestic cricket.
