Magneto Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Kohli will be second highest century maker for India... I thought i predicted it somewhere earlier..... But reinstating it again You actually said that Kohli might overhaul Sachin's ODI home centuries.
mishra Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 You actually said that Kohli might overhaul Sachin's ODI home centuries. That impliciltly meant second highest number of centuries. dont put word in my mouth :hitler:
Magneto Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 That impliciltly meant second highest number of centuries. dont put word in my mouth :hitler: "But I think Soon Pakis/Aussies will come up with some legendry phast Bowlers..... Not sure about actual stats, Cant predict the future, But if Aussies/Pakis fail then Kohli has very good chance to surpass home ODI century count of Tendulkar.." This is exactly what you said. Am I putting words in your mouth? :nervous:

Surpassing Sachin in @home in odis means surpassing all the other batsmen in the world in century count...Malingaa episode - KONFIDENCE has shot up on the boy...:yoyo: Unless Pakis produce Akram and Aussies produce Mcgrath quickly, which is very unlikely... Boy has no worthy opponent except Steyn

Boy has no worthy opponent except Steyn Sachin has 20 centuries in India. Virat already has 5. He'll cross Sachin in about 8 years (he'll be 31 then) if he can manage to score 2 centuries a year at home. Doesn't seem very improbable.
Deleted_User_1 Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I have been very pissed off with the barrage of Sachin haters lately (not critics mind you, but haters), so I hope he plays on and on and on and on in both formats and let them fester more. BTW, to the haters Sachin says :finger:
jairamesh Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 1. Cook will come close within 2K of Tendulkars Test Runs aggregate but will not be able to overhaul it. Very Very Unlikely, tbh I struggle to see Cook get past 10K. Cook doesn't have game of the likes Lara, Tendulkar, or even Ponting to consistently score 50 plus and adapt quickly to different conditions. The one I fear who can is Kallis, who still looks fit and plays both ODIs and Tests. 2. Tendulkar will play 2015 WC No comment 3. No Bowler(Steyn might come close but even he will find it difficult ) from the current crop will cross 500 Test wkts ( Harbi the only possible contender ) If NZ played more Tests I would have backed Vettori. 4. KP will not play in the 2015 WC No comment 5. Punter to retire in the next 18 months Agree 6. No Paki Batsman will avg over 45 in Tests. impossible to predict, but from the current crop (exl. Misbah and Younis Khan) can't argue with that.
Sid Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 1. virat kohli will break tendulkars odi aggregate & 100s record. he is only 23 and will play for another 15 years (meaning about 17000-18000 more runs and 55-60 more 100s) :D 2. zaheer khan will play in the 2015 wc 3. india will find a genuine 150 kph+ bowler by 2013 4. india to break the 500 mark in odis within the next 2 years :two_thumbs_up: This will never happen.
Zelig Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 1. Sachin will coach/manage Team India. 2. Dravid will have a successful commentator stint. 3. Kumble will become the BCCI president someday. 4. South Africa will win the WC (could be T20) under Gary Kirsten. 5. Harbajan will make a comeback to the national team. His comeback will be short lived though. 6. Pakistan will never beat India in a CWC match.

The one I fear who can is Kallis, who still looks fit and plays both ODIs and Tests. Consistency isn't only problem. Many players don't get 130+ matches easily to score so many runs. Advantage with cook is that he is just 27 and played 80 tests in 6 years. No code has to be inserted here. Compare this with Cook's average of 13.3 test matches per year. He might complete his 100 tests in just 8 years!
Crookbond Posted July 19, 2012 Posted July 19, 2012 Vibhash you should change your name to Vhi-BUMP. Keep on bumping these old threads! :--D
