As most will know, I have always been an advocator of Praveen in tests. This thread is to keep a tab on his performances First test - a very decent performance, could have got more wickets if he wasnt barred 3/38

Getting banned for an innings bothers me' date='i hope its correctable.[/quote'] One thing I find extremely strange is that PK was running into the danger zone by a huge margin - he was literally standing in front of umpire on his follow through yet he has never before been warned in an odi! Does that mean he changed his run-up and follow through just for Tests? If not how come he got away in odis? Either way a strange case.

Swung the ball both ways, beat the bat numerous times and picked up three middle order wickets and kept the runs down at the same time. He was getting good swing even past the 30th over and looking at Edwards/Rampaul they're barely getting any swing. Real quality stuff.

some people will still hate him because he bowls at 120kph because they want phahassst ballers' date=' obsessed like pakis[/quote'] You can't argue with results. If he keeps on taking wkts ppl would be least bothered how he takes them or what pace he bowls. Sports, like anything else, is result driven.

PK isn't suited to all test pitches. In Lankan/Indian pitches he would be cannon fodder but in these conditions he's an ideal bowler.
let him finish this test match off first b4 decidin how well he'll do in subcontinent, i don't think he's odi stats are any good in india though

He was amazing yesterday. ON the flat pitches, he will be a first spell bowler. Luv to see him more. I always believe that, he can be a good lower order batsman. Unlike ODI's, where overs are limited, he can get sometime time to bat in tests

Started well but getting banned for running onto the pitch despite previous warnings was a real let down. Hopefully he can correct it. Otherwise a good start to his Test career. Didn't strike with the new ball and then fade away as might have been expected, instead was actually more effective with the older ball, which is a good sign.

This guy is a workhorse. Have seen him bowl 10-12 over long spells in domestic cricket without bowling a loose ball. Best thing with him is he is a thinking bowler and knows how to set up batsmen. As he plays more test cricket, I have a feeling his pace will also go up and if he starts hitting 80 mph or thereabouts regularly, he will be a damn good test match bowler for us. Too many experts have over exaggerated his struggles with old ball which IMO is a myth. PK will shatter that myth as he plays more, yesterday was just a start.
