ravishingravi
Bhajji didnt bowl well. But it is important to bear in mind his perfomance in SA. Just 1 game here. Link to comment
Fontaine
Dhoni mentioned himself that the spinners were not bowling an accurate line which is what most of us have been saying. No matter, we'll go with three seamers in Barbados because there won't be a lot of spin there and Bhajji can go back to bowling darts, playing his safe holding role and bottom feeding on the occasional tail ender. saneindian
Can you single out a post which are discrediting his batting or match changing effort in this test match.Everyone is stating the obvious that he struggled with the ball' date=which is his main job,And if he doesnt improve we gonna struggle. The only problem for both Mishra and Bhajji was they could not somehow control the bounce they were extracting from the wicket. Despite them lets look at some CI commentary and see if Bhajji bowled as badly as you guys are calling it as. Note that most of the chances he created went between fielders, LBW shouts were not given due to the bounce or the balls were too good to take the edge. Yes he should have bowled better but to say he bowled crap is exaggerated IMO. 1st innings 28.1 Harbhajan Singh to Bravo, no run, nice offbreak, tossed up, bringing Bravo forward, and then beating his outside edge 28.2 Harbhajan Singh to Bravo, no run, another good delivery, pitches middle and off, then turns away, past the bat again 30.1 Harbhajan Singh to Bravo, 1 run, just short of second slip this time. Another edge, but going down into the ground. Kohli can't get to it. Bravo living a charmed life 32.1 Harbhajan Singh to Barath, 3 runs, another chance, goes between keeper and leg slip. Pre-meditated sweep, the ball turns, hits him on the glove, and finds that gap perfectly 52.4 Harbhajan Singh to Chanderpaul, no run, this is closer to off, makes him poke at it, beats the edge 52.6 Harbhajan Singh to Chanderpaul, 1 run, extra bounce, which makes Harbhajan effective, Shiv is deep in the crease to defend but it gets a bit big on him, and he fails to keep it down. However, it goes wide of FSL 58.3 Harbhajan Singh to Chanderpaul, no run, big lbw shout, pitches middle, straightens, hits the pad first, looks a pretty good shout, but not given. Hitting the outside half of off stump, says hawk eye 64.2 Harbhajan Singh to Rampaul, FOUR, Not one of the best attempts by Dravid at slip. Misses out on catch No. 201. Soft edge, going down, but in slow motion, and he could have easily got under it. Instead he is slow at getting down, and lets it slip through. A touch heavy on his feet 2nd innings 16.3 Harbhajan Singh to Chanderpaul, no run, the straighter one, very well bowled, Shiv plays for the turn, is beaten, Harbhajan's regular mode of wickets off left-handers. Huge shout too, but Gould says it has hit his outside the line, and shoot me if if it hasn't. Respect Mr Gould 20.6 Harbhajan Singh to Chanderpaul, no run, another big shout for lbw, Shiv seems to be caught dead in front after playing for the non-existent turn. But the bounce saves him 22.6 Harbhajan Singh to Bravo, no run, another loose cut shot, it is too close to him, and also bounces high. Misses the edge 55.4 Harbhajan Singh to Rampaul, no run, straighter one, beats him, big lbw shout, but there is too much bounce in this pitch 59.3 Harbhajan Singh to Edwards, FOUR, sharp turn down the leg side, Fiddy has a poke at it, gets four between keeper and leg slip 61.6 Harbhajan Singh to Edwards, no run, the straighter one - not to be confused with the doosra - beats the edge Link to comment

Guest Gunner
This loude ka baal is going to get outbowled by swanny this summer. We will keep selecting this great emotional leader. :nice: 1-60 in the fourth innings on this pitch is a pretty horrific performance. Kumble would have bowled out the indies pretty much single handedly on this pitch in one non stop spell. Link to comment
