They could have gone a step further and looked at 2 bouncers an over and the possibilty of increasing the numbers of overs a bowler can bowl so that teams don't have to use part-time bowlers. 4 bowlers should be able to bowl 50 overs. The best bowlers can bowl all the overs and no crap from the useless 5th bowler.

one of the better changes by ICC..Was never a fan of batsman scoring runs with the help of runners.The injured batsman now has no option but to hit out. This will definetely add the extra entertainment factor for sure.

Don't see it happening.[/quote'] Overall it seems with this new ball, ythey have taken that pinch of test match out of odis's and added a little bit of T20 more into it.. It second ball was introduced to save time, Then they should have a 25 over old second ball and a new one....

so ODIs become batsman friendly, bowlers have no say here. The soft ball was difficult to time and thats why you would see teams slowing down in middle overs, I guess thats out of the window now. Why can't they find a technology which makes sure balls last for 50 overs. Remvoing Runner is alright but what if batsman is batting well and opposition plans to injure him (LOL) by bowler running into him and injuring him...LOL, just a scenario, it may not happen. but what if it happens. Also best rule to add would be to allow bowler to bowl extra overs depending on the number of wickets they take. So Zaheer Khan takes 3 wickets, he should be able to bowl 13 overs.
