The application and patience he has shown he deserves to be batting at number 3 or 4. You can't let your best batsman to bat number 5. That's too low for him.

Yes Pujara did well and showed that he can bat at number 3 and deserves a long run in the team but I just want that our best batsman should be playing in the top order and not at number 5. Sachin won't leave the number 4 spot, so only place remain is number 3. Kohli looked completely on different level as compared to any other Indian batsmen including Pujara. I have nothing against Pujara whom i believe is an exceptional batting talent, but Kohli should be given that number 3 spot.

lol.. kohli would struggle at 3 cos our openers are shyte he looked better doesn ot make him better biggest problem of people on this site is they judge batsmen just by attacking shots bot defensive technique pujara faced plenty of good balls which he just left alone..his natural instinct makes him good number 3 he was pretty good against fast bowlers specially considering guy on other end was struggling kohli should be at number 4 i have always maintained this just bcos we are making big mistake with sachin does not mean we need to make 2 more mistakes .. also yes kohli will always look better cos he is exceptional stroke maker but that counts for nothing in the end they both were our top scorers and pujara showed in this innings shortb all is not his weakness as he cam in front foot right after bouncer and played it in diff ways imo raina,tendulkar and one of sehwag ,gambhir need to go yes these are too many changes but after 8-0 this was expected

As i have said earlier its because of his patience and application he showed that I want him to bat at number 3 or 4. Every innings that he was playing looked like of a very mature player, a player who is in control of his game and knows what he is doing and what he wants to do with his innings. Kohli was also leaving good deliveries well. Before this series I also wanted Kohli to bat down the order, but this guy is improving game by game. Number 5 is low for him. I think its time for Sachin to bat at number 5 and let youngsters take command of the middle order. but we all know that won't happen and our best batsman will continue to bat down the order.

We might want to consider Kohli batting at No.3 unless Pujara fails. There isn't any need to change the batting slots when both -Pujara and Kohli, are doing brilliantly.
