Correction : Favorable for both good batsmen and bowlers which the Barbados pitch is.

No problems with these pitches, good batsmen will make runs on them and good bowlers will take wickets. Men will be seperated from the boys in effect. Crowd and atmosphere have been sh11t though.

Firstly, I'd always prefer a bowler friendly wicket over a road. Secondly, this Barbados pitch is actually an excellent pitch with good, even bounce and carry. Its only because a lot of batsmen on both sides have deficient techniques that we've seen such low scores in this match. Quality batsmen like VVS Laxman enjoy the even bounce as it allows them to play their strokes freely.

All the tests and ODIs played in WI this summer have been excellent matches. The test matches have been exciting to watch. Much better than watching NZ pile up 600 on flat roads of Hyderabad r Lanka piling up 700 at SSC. Give me more such pitches anyday.

at least we are getting results compared to the draws we get in India. It's may be a little less than the perfect Test cricket pitch but it's a lot better than the batters fest where they pile up 600 odd runs in one inning

Worst series' to watch are the Sri Lankan ones. SO BORING. Pitches are slow, stadiums are empty barring the one annoying section of horns, spinners bowling all day... grah. and we go tehre like every 2 months

Second test pitch is okay. First test pitch was very poor. Outfield definitely has to improve.Ball is not travelling at all.

After playing on the flat tracks on India, any pitch with a bit of life in it wil look as though it is the worst pitch in the world. The problem with having flat tracks at home is that the FTBs will struggle in WI. I really think India is going to struggle alot in England who have a much more potent attack than the 7th ranked WI.

If the pitch has life in it. Like SA made green top last year. English batters are going to struggle as well. Talking about FTBs, your country has a habbit of Producing Grade 'A' FTBs to grace world cricket. Dont think India would do as bad as Sri Lanka in England, our past records suggests that.

Absolutely no atmosphere at the grounds. Hardly anyone bothers showing up and then you have such heavy outfields where the best way to hit a 4 is to edge the ball. If you hit it cleanly you will get 2 at max. I can see why WI cricket is in decline.

Disagree on the pitches. It's good to have a more even contest. It's rubbish outside that. The WI used to be awesome with the crowds and the music. Now the place is empty and the grounds are in a poor state. England and Australia are still the best places for test matches. SA would be third and India fourth when we play in the bigger cities.
