vvvslaxman Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 I don't think we never had any uproar over an India A team selection. That underlines the seriousness of the issue.
Yoda-esque Posted July 5, 2011 Posted July 5, 2011 Incidents such as raise serious questions regarding the presence of M. Vijay and Abhinav in the test team. It does mean that Cheeka has his faves.

But that was not made into a big issue because Abhinav was the second highest run getter in first class season behind Badrinath. M Vijay was already a backup opener. If he had half decent record in first class and got picked this would not have become such an issue. But Anirudd by all accounts will struggle get into a worse plate division team.

Please stop talking about tamilnadu as a different state. I remember when tamil nadu used to win against sri lanka but india which contained 9 mumbaikars when Gavaskar was captain lost to srilanka. So regional bias has started way back and now its the turn of the TN players.

Fact that Vijay plays tommorrow and not Parthiv is sickening. Vijay is not going anywhere why waste a chance on him.

Texy Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 you guys are screaming of injustice....I wonder what will you say when few years down the line Sachin does the same for his son who might not be very talented either. Will you be using the same yardstick?
kabira Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 if it was shorter format, his selection had some merit, but this is 3 day cricket LOL

Sachin=GOD Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 you guys are screaming of injustice....I wonder what will you say when few years down the line Sachin does the same for his son who might not be very talented either. Will you be using the same yardstick? Well, you can keep wondering because it ain't gonna happen for many years. He's only 11 right now.

Will you be using the same yardstick? If he doesnt have a good FC and ListA record and is selected, I will say the exact the same thing. Being Sachin's son shouldnt get him any special treatment

It does mean that Cheeka has his faves. If it raises serious question about Mukund's selection for Indian team because Anirudth's selection it's just retarded.
ganeshran Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 ^ How can you compare Mukund and Cheeka Jr? Mukund has a string of solid domestic performances to his credit. Vijay's FC performances are no joke either.
Sooda Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 Totally its ridiculous that people slam Mukund and Vijays selections claiming theyre biased. And none of those people can put forward an adequate replacement, or deny the fact that those two absolutely deserve this opportunity
Trichromatic Posted July 6, 2011 Posted July 6, 2011 you guys are screaming of injustice....I wonder what will you say when few years down the line Sachin does the same for his son who might not be very talented either. Will you be using the same yardstick? Yes, but that's still far away. If it raises serious question about Mukund's selection for Indian team because Anirudth's selection it's just retarded. Mukund has scored 3000 FC runs at an average of 55+. He deserved a chance. Anirudh hasn't done well even in FC.

Vijay's FC performances are no joke either. I didnt say that. What i meant was questioning Mukund's place based on the selection of Anirudth is retarded.I was more like defending Mukund's selection.
