We scraped a 1-0 win against a **** NZ side a couple of years ago. It took a freakish run chase to beat England in the 2008/2009 series last time they were in India. Look how England bowled in the last Ashes series, in the UAE and in Sri Lanka. They are a very good bowling outfit and are having a bad test against a strong South Afican side that have batted magnificently. Swann should get taken to the cleaners by Indian batsman though (definitely the right handers)

When India toured they prepared helpful tracks but when SA are touring they have prepared flat track coz they don't want to face an attack of Steyn, Morkel, Philander and Kallis on a green track. Pakis did the same as well against Eng where the pitches were dry and turning, and Pakis played 3 spinners in the Tests (Ajmal, Rahman and Hafeez) and in fact even opened the bowling with Hafeez on occasion. If everyone does so why shouldn't we? After all this is what Test cricket should be, i.e. tested against different conditions at different venues.

Amen. We should aim at humiliating and ending the careers of spuds like Ian Bell and Ravi Bopara and co. Though it's not like they haven't been pantsed by other teams and players as well. Bell was especially manhandled by the likes of Ajmal and in days gone by, Warne.

They don't know how to bat against spinners on turners to save their lives and their bowlin attack is one dimensional to be of use on such tracks.

jairamesh Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 England still continue to bowl below the speeds compared to last year vs India. Infact I haven't seen Broad or Bresnan hit 90mph since that series. I am afraid that was a peak last year.
