Stop over reacting. England beat a 10 man India!

When we had them by the throat in the 1st innings, Zak breaks down. When we had them by the throat in the 2nd innings, PK and IS were exhausted. Bhaji was useless as always. But to be honest, the batting was poor, especially today, they could have saved the game if not for some poor shots

Excuses galore.... England beat India fair and square. At least lose with some dignity. Nothing wrong in confessing England was a better team. The only area India were better than England probably was in catching otherwise England had India on the mat as expected. India doesn't start very well and it's been proved again.

You beat 10 men. Keep boasting. If roles had been reversed and Anderson had gone down. Then you would have bowled trott and kp, it would have been run fest. Until you beat 11 indians you have proved nothing!
Anderson did go down against SL. Remember? SL bowled out for 80, keep making excuses.

I am sick to death of the moaning and the BS that we got out played. WE HAD 10 men. ZK got injured and could not bowl. I REPEAT WE HAD 10 men and only 3 BOWLERS! For godsake when ZK got injured we were all over them. We would have bowled them out for under 250 if he hadnt. In 2nd innings all over them again but as only had 3 bowlers it lapsed again. Christ what do you expect when Dhoni and Raina have to bowl in tandemn for long spells. I repeat we had 10 men and england took full advantage. But until England beat an 11 man India , i am not giving them any credit. I tell you if Anderson had broke down and they would have to bowl Trott and KP in long spell we would have racked up 800! We gonna pummel them in text match with 11 men and wipe the smiles of their smug faces. We gonna beat them form behind and stick their number 1 aspirations up their backsides. England have more chance of droping to 4th in world then number 1 after this series! Big backlash coming at Trent Bridge. England you have been warned!
I love your attitude/spirit. No gloom and doom just positive.

If you have a comeback:--D
ohh... we WILL comeback, this team is renowned for its comebacks... dont you worry about it. Also another thing we are renowned for is our slow starts... so beware!! :finger:

No I do not, but the point you are missing is that that was against a fading Austrailian side etc. This is a thrusting determined England side of young players and some experienced ones. You are also failing to see that your oldies are going to find it hard playing so many back to back games
Inida had the worst game and you barely beat us. Quit your chest thumping you are going down. But you did win it fair and square but that is the end of the road for you.

Good to see some positivity. The wrist slitters are out in full force with their self flagellation and unfortunately, subjecting the rest of us to it.
Just learn to ignore the nay sayers. Stay positive next win is just around.

I'll consider England as #1 if they win this series and..if they beat India in India with one of their premier batsmen and worldclass bowler missing from the team as well as one of their top batsman playing with fever.
And if England do win in such circumstances, you'll move the goalposts and bleat about something else. England are not a great side, they're pretty good, but not great. If India is so good, they ought to win regardless of who is injured or not feeling well or is a bit upset

Its our batting that has let us down. Combination of some very good bowling and poor short selection led to our downfall. Doesn't matter if we were with 10 players or 9 when our main strength i.e batting failed in this match. So credit to England for winning this one. But i do agree with you on the last part, England get ready for serious backlash.

What a rubbish OP. Granted, Zaheer's absence has made us vulnerable (Sehwag is also missed), but you can't solely pin our loss on his absence and thump your chest like a gorilla, declaring vengeance because hey! Apparently we'll be playing with a 11-man team in the 2nd Test. How do you know if Zaheer will be playing in the next Test? From the looks of it, it seems highly unlikely- even Dhobi has said so himself. So what if we lose again then? Are you going to pin the loss on Zak's absence a second time, or are you going to come to terms with the fact that England has the potential to outclass us? Don't discount the fact that they batted very well. They capitalised on good starts in both the batting and bowling departments, and did not crumble under pressure when they were 5 down. On the other hand, we fell apart like ninepins and just did not have any grit- save for Raina.

NO, If Zaheer don't play, we will have other bowler who will bowl like Sreeshanth or Minaf rather than over bowling PK Or Ishant. We struggles here because of lack of 4th bowler. No team can win or compete only with 3 bowlers the whole match. England would not have scored 474 if Zak was not injured and in 2nd innings too, we lacked a 4th bowler. We virtually had only 2 bowlers with Bhajji's useless bowling.

And our inability to bowl England out instead of leaking runs after they were in such a precarious position- without Zaheer in the attack?

These conditions were not for 474 in first innings which England scored because of lack of bowling options. When a bowler like Dhoni has to bowl, you can understand how short of options the captain was. It was not Zak, if we had Sreeshanth or Munaf instead of Zak, we could do better. AT least, they would have bowled their overs and we do not resort to Dhoni or Raina so much. and BTW, 2 bowlers cannot take 20 wickets in a test. You need all bowler contributing. Batting did not perform up to potential, but conditions were bowling friendly, ball moved of the pitch and in the air whole match. It was our bowling which could not stop England scoring 474 and absence of zaheer of a 4th bowler had a bog hand in this. Same with second innings, at 72/5, if we had 4th bowler or 3rd seamer, story of the match could have been different. Same in the first innings, If Zak was there, England would not have scored 474, just not Zak, if we had any 3rd seamer like Sreeshanth of Munaf, we could have stopped England scoring 474. This was actually not more than 300-350 runs conditions if bowlers bowl well in the right areas because ball was seaming and swinging. Ishant was off color in first innings. It can happen one of the bowler can be off color and if other gets injured, it becomes a problem. Same thing was with England, Anderson was off color in first innings, but they had fit Tremlett and Broad their, who did their job, We only had PK in first innings who did whatever he could do on his own and bowled 60 overs in the test which is not a joke. On 4th day. we were virtually playing with 8 players with SRT struggling with fever and Gambhir injured and Zak was already out.
