rahuld9 Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 What can we do when they retire? Just get your best players in the team, what else? Yeah , I mean like mentally for us as supporters.
wobblydoggy Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I think the BCCI shouls approach the ICC on this matter and explain to them that it is hardly fair for India, who have been used to and rely on DLT's runs to have to go cold turkey. Therefore for 5 years they respectfully request to be allowed to field twelve players so they can have a second batsman to make up the runs they will be missing from DLT and his inadequate replacement:--D
Trichromatic Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Yeah ' date=' I mean like mentally for us as supporters.[/quote'] Well, it's hard to replace these three. To be honest, I'm disappointed with modern generation players. Not because I want to see another Sachin, Dravid immediately after their retirement. It's hard to replace them. These batsman hardly come close to young Sachin or don't have technique of Dravid. Rather I'm disappointed because those don't look like very good test players. Most of them are suited for LOI. I would like to see some of them following Gambhir's path. He is an example of what current crop of Indian batsmen can become. When he started his career, he was like these players. Attacking, faulty technique, temperament problem etc. But he worked hard and corrected his technique. Moreover he has show temperament. These batsman are more like Gambhir of earlier days. Unless they improve their batting, they will struggle in test cricket.

singhprakash72 Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Simple as Pimple - Choose from top 3 Indian batsman from previous IPL season

Stan AF Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Stop watching cricket. That's the honorable thing to do. What to do when 'DLT' retire?
