Texy Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I just don't understand how some loser like Vinay kumar was selected and Sreesanth was left out. Sreesanth is a wicket taking bowler and yes he is wayward but he bowls his heart out every time. What will happen if Sreesanth ends up taking fifer or more in the remaining tests? How is Vinay Kumar any better than Sree. I know MSD never liked Sree ever since his public disapproval of Sree in South Africa but Sree deserves chances. Ishant has been persisted in ODIs even after his expensive track record.

Midfielder Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Sreesanth is definitely better than Vinay. He needs to be made welcome and secure of his place in the team. If he is being threatened with being dropped everytime it is neither good for him or India. He is a very good bowler.
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Yo how many times should we say that vinay kumar is being picked in the side so that sehwag gets some sixer hitting practise in the nets... i mean which self respecting bowler will willfully bowl dollies to the batsman and get trashed other than vinay who only does that
Temujin Khaghan Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Both Sree and Ishant should only play test cricket. ishanth cant control the run rate in slog overs... sreesanth will increase the spray ball frequency when he senses that the batsman are low on runrate both are no exactly excellent qualities in LOIs

rahuld9 Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 vinay will get better, he has some ok variations, hes the jade dernbach of our squad
rkt.india Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Sreeshant's ecobomy is over 6 in one day internationals and he has not taken many wickets too.
Yoda-esque Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Surely you mean "short end" of the stick ? Wonder what the raw end of the stick must feel like for poor Sree..:((
Jayaram_IND Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 I dont really value Vinay kumar as a quality bowler as he has several shortcommings.(Height,Build,Pace etc).
saneindian Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 DHoni doesn't like Sreesanth and yet picks him ahead of Ashwin for the WC final! Some bias that.
Jayaram_IND Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 DHoni doesn't like Sreesanth and yet picks him ahead of Ashwin for the WC final! Some bias that. Maybe he didnt want to play 2 off spinners against a side that plays spin well.Maybe he felt dew might play a part.
NareshK Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 vinay will get better' date=' he has some ok variations, hes the [b']jade dernbach of our squad Who the f is that ?
Jayaram_IND Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Who the f is that ? He is a right arm fast medium bowler. He relys on changes of pace and bowls good slower balls(65-70 kmp) but also bowls some quick deliveries. Here is his stats.Interesting thing to note- BORN IN RSA http://www.espncricinfo.com/england/content/player/12461.html

Always importing foreign players.
VRV Singh Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Sree is a rubbish ODI bowler, most expensive of all time :cantstop: Whilst Vinay's selection is laughable Sree is not one entitled to complain about it.
Midfielder Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Maybe he didnt want to play 2 off spinners against a side that plays spin well.Maybe he felt dew might play a part. That was exactly the reason.
Midfielder Posted August 7, 2011 Posted August 7, 2011 Sree is a rubbish ODI bowler, most expensive of all time :cantstop: Whilst Vinay's selection is laughable Sree is not one entitled to complain about it. Sree may not be the best but he is definitely not rubbish. Way they treat him is rubbish. He gives it all whenever he steps in the field so let us not make generalizations that he is rubbish.
