Watch how ball quickens after pitching.

That happens when pitches is rough and bowler is giving lots of revolutions to the ball, ball sometimes skids but it still wont be quicker than release speed, more for pacers. It will only have less reduction of pace. There was an example in 2008 CB series between Ishant and Brett Lee. both delivered at 141K delivery pitches at about same spot, but Ishant's delivery reached batsmen at 121K, while Brett Lee's at 111K. Ishant at that time had really good seam and wrist position and he was getting zip of the pitch in that series being tall he was hurrying the batsmen with a high arm action maintaining higher rebound speed than other bowlers of same pace.

If you don't do you are not a fast bowler. You are just a fake trundler in my view with a bigger number as clock speed on TV screen. Varun Aaron in theory was a trundler today. Two kids got his clock cleaned smashing him to all parts. 147k trundler lol :cantstop: oh the irony. He will get 2 or 3 more chances for sure. Hope he learn from this match.

It depends on how the ball hits the pitch. Some bowlers skid of the pitch like RP Singh while some are hit the deck kind of bowlers. Trajectory along with the wrist position etc. are important factors here.

THe 4 dismissals in world T20 against SA was peach of deliveries. Also the way he knocked Matt Prior over coming round the wicket was unplayable. real nippy. Alas didn't last long.

Those are completely different conditions suited to him. Can you remember any of his dismissal in subcontinent. I doubt you can, even I do not, but I remember some beauty of deliveries and wickets by Umesh and Aaron on Indian pitches.

WTF are the coaches doing them, i would say drop them first before dropping varun aaron. if varun becomes a failure it is a direct reflection of the coaches not doing their job. Really pathetic. If he would have been in australia, they would have taught him well..

His record is not much better than Shami or Yadav in tests overseas. his effort looked good because batsmen also did well and other bowlers like Zak were brilliant too in England 2007. RP only had 11 wickets in 3 tests at 30 plus average which is nothing great. Shami and Yadav also bowled some good spells overseas in helpful conditions.

That's only in the case of when there is a lot of topspin......like in a kick serve in tennis.......fast bowlers don't bowl faster off the pitch.......

I do not think, Aaron will cut it in ODI's. Immediately cut him, as he will get worse. In Tests it all depends as he has the pace. But looking at his action and delivery stride, I have my doubts. Hope someone at the NCA fine tunes him.

Nothing's going to improve with aaron until he's sent back to domestic cricket.
