coffee_rules Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 1988 - India lost WC semi-final the season before, DBV sat out of it. KD lost captaincy or resigned and DBV was made captain. KD played under DBV still performed to his best. But we were a team building after SMG retired. Some excuses can be given. The worst is 2011. #1 team getting asswhopped. Bowling failure is expected losing out ZK. But batting missed Sehwag, Gambhir mainly. Laxman was a key failure. Depending on newbie Raina and FTB Dhoni. Tendulkar injured/sick etc. We could have drawn the first test with some little application by Dhoni/HS etc. Winning one ODI is what this team can achieve. That too after key players from Eng sit out. If we can't dismiss Kieswetter...bowling is all-time low.
