TheYuvi02 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 :(( Pretty sure that he will be dropped for this game though. and replaced with varun
Holysmoke Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Aaron is not the answer guys. He's quick.. yes.. but he leaks runs. It's like having a sree or sir aggy in your squad.
Cricket Tragic Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 and replaced with varun Nah, it will probably be Raw Pace Swing because of the "experience" factor.
TheYuvi02 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Nah' date=' it will probably be Raw Pace Swing because of the "experience" factor.[/quote'] we all saw his swing during the test match and his pace is slower than harbhajan
rkt.india Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Aaron is not the answer guys. He's quick.. yes.. but he leaks runs. It's like having a sree or sir aggy in your squad. he was very economical and consistent in IPL, IMO.
Cricket Tragic Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Meh, just give him a chance. Even if he gets smashed for 7-8 runs an over, it won't be very different to Kooomar. Atleast there might be some potential in him.
TheYuvi02 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Meh' date=' just give him a chance. Even if he gets smashed for 7-8 runs an over, it won't be very different to Kooomar. Atleast there [i']might be some potential in him. i dont care if he gets hit for runs, he cant be much worse than vinay kumar and atleast his pace wont make batsmen fall asleep
BERGKAMP Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I think we should save Varun for tests and not expose to too many ODIs early on in his career, in which he may take a hammering that could knock his confidence. This series doesn't really mean anything so lets bowl Vinay into the ground and make sure after this series he never pulls on the blue jersey ever again.
Hur Rizvi Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 With all the hype sorrounding Aaron, I think he should play today
WeStMiDz Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Let's no forget that the Oval is an absolute road. It'll be 320 plays 320 if not more. Could be difficult for a youngster like Aaron to make an impact on such a track, best bet is to play him at Cardiff where the ball might just do a bit.
rkt.india Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 About 2-3 years back, Venkatesh Prasad, our bowling coach used to take Vinay Kumar's name whenever reporters used to talk about fast bowlers with him and I used think I don't think Vinay has it in him to make it to Indian team or he is that good that he can be considered fro Indian team. I had already seen him playing for Karnataka in a ranji match against Karnataka in December 2006 or January 2007, not remember correctly, at Gangotri Glades when I was in Mysore and I never found any potential in him. But I was wrong and that day came, when the messiah played for India.:((
Hur Rizvi Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Varon is certainly better than PK or Vinay kumar. Dhoni should just give him confidence and ask him to bowl as fast as he can without caring about runs.
Malcolm Merlyn Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 RP INZY BOON RANATUNGA SINGH plays but no VArun on this fast bouncy pitch:wall:
gaurav92 Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 RP ahead of Varun :WTF: Indian Selectors, Team Management and the kaptaan izz losing it :((
Trichromatic Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 RP INZY BOON RANATUNGA SINGH plays but no VArun on this fast bouncy pitch:wall: He will play on flat IPL type of pitch where batsman of Saurabh Tiwary's class will close eyes and hit him all over park to prove he is a crap bowler.
WC2011INDIA Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 He will play on flat IPL type of pitch where batsman of Saurabh Tiwary's class will close eyes and hit him all over park to prove he is a crap bowler. Nah Dhoni will do that.
J P K Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 he is not going to make any difference varun bowls fast but does not swing the ball so he might get thrashed all over steyn odi record in england 29 overs 188 3 wickets
CG Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 he is not going to make any difference varun bowls fast but does not swing the ball so he might get thrashed all over steyn odi record in england 29 overs 188 3 wickets Stop posting about things you do not know.he swings the ball and its better to have less swing at 135+ than swing at 120km and why you bring steyn in to it.
james Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 He will surely play the next game, Dhoni agian said today we lacked speed.
Yoda-esque Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 I think Ashwin,Jadu,Aaron,RP and Munna should play...
