rkt.india Posted October 20, 2011 Author Posted October 20, 2011 He is making his come back with a 3-day U22 match from today against Tamilnadu. He has not been picked for domestic T20s and they have given him a chance to warm up with CK Naidu U22 trophy before Ranji trophy starts.
vishalvirsingh Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 Yep I believe he's the fastest in the country' date=''ve seen him bowl faster than Aaron[/quote'] r u sure he is a 140K + bowler like UY and varun as we do not wanna waste our time on researching on TRUNDLERS
Rightarmfast Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 When I was talking to Rehan day before yesterday, he told me Varun, Rahul and him are batchmates. Whereas , Varun comes from a very rich family. However, pace wise Rehan said that all these 3, Varun, Rahul and Rehan used to clock the same speed when he was practising in Jharkhand .

I feel jharkand / Uttar Pradesh going to be India's conveyor belt of fast bowlers.

But then why he is not picked for Jharkhand. That is really amusing after seeing the kind of talent he looked to have. They can easily play him in place of super trundler Kuldeep Sharma or Krishnatary.
MCcricket Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Yes it is funny, with all the pacers we saw in Buchi Babu tournament, most impressive pacers seem to be misssing from the Syed Mushtaq trophy.Gujarat , Mumbai , Delhi other teams , selections are weird. RKT and info on Rahul from Akash Chopra or players, he seems young and very raw yet?
rajmarie Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 From the pic certainly dont look like 22 year old. Havent seen him bowl so cant comment on his speed. Hoping Neo carries Live domectic games...or better...show good highlights.
Trichromatic Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Whereas ' date=' Varun comes from a very rich family. [/quote'] :cantstop: He is 21.
Cricket Tragic Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 :cantstop: He is 21. :hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical::hysterical:
rkt.india Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 :cantstop: He is 21. No he turned 22 in September.
Trichromatic Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 No he turned 22 in September. The how will he play U-22 matches?
rkt.india Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 The how will he play U-22 matches? He can play until he turns 23, similar to U19.
Cricket Tragic Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 It depends on the month that you're born in.
rkt.india Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 It depends on the month that you're born in. U22 means players who are less than 22 or 22 at the time of commencement of the tournament can play in U22 tournaments. This is the similar case in U19 as well that is Deepak Chahar is not picked because he is 19 now, but will turn 20 by the time actual U19 WC starts.
Trichromatic Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 He can play until he turns 23' date=' similar to U19.[/quote'] http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/player/390547.html Is this same Rahul Shukla?
rkt.india Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/player/390547.html Is this same Rahul Shukla? yes..I was wrong...it means he turned 21 in August, then he still has 2 years to play U22 for his state.
ChanaLal Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Look at the stands behind that pic and tells you the entire story. Camp for a ranji team in a stadium in such pathetic state with overgrown grass, stands crying for a coat of paint and some maintennace. Wonder how good the training facilities will be at this ground. BTW does anyone know how many state associations in India have got bowling caches with their ranji teams? If there is one team that should employ a professional bowling coach of repute (if they don't have one), its Jharkhand. Ian Pont is about to start working part-time with Haryana :two_thumbs_up:
Trichromatic Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 Where does he live? I'm surprised that I never heard of him before joining ICF.
rkt.india Posted October 21, 2011 Author Posted October 21, 2011 Where does he live? I'm surprised that I never heard of him before joining ICF. He is originally from Jaunpur, UP, but his father works in Jharkhand, so he went their for further studies 4-5 years ago.
Rightarmfast Posted October 21, 2011 Posted October 21, 2011 That is interesting. But then why he is not picked for Jharkhand. That is really amusing after seeing the kind of talent he looked to have. They can easily play him in place of super trundler Kuldeep Sharma or Krishnatary. Umm, are you asking about rehan as to why he did not play for Jharkhand or Rahul ? I know of Rehan and thats because of politics.Since he is from Bihar, hence they did not take him... "could you pls also let us know who are the upcoming bowlers in Jharkand... I feel jharkand / Uttar Pradesh going to be India's conveyor belt of fast bowlers." Yeah, I will check that out Speed demon. Although I am in Patna and after Diwali I will be going back to Bangalore. If you are interesteed about the past, there was a Bihar Ranji player ' Dheeraj Kumar ' who as sworn by a lot ( including my cousins who saw him ) and Rehan was genuinely quick and he definitely used to bowl around 150kph. He trains rehan sometimes and Rehan swears that in his youth, Dheeraj was way faster than him (how he says that, I dont know. He only heard it from seniors ) But the ranji players who played against Srinath say that Dheeraj was faster than him. But plzzzzz " Do not ask me to record Dheeraj too !!! "
