Yoda-esque Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 "he will unleash the teesra" :hysterical: Is that the one fired on the pads?
The Outsider Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 Absolutely top bloke. Will keep darting till heaven come.
gs Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 No comebacks please -- just stay home and make it large!
maniac Posted October 19, 2011 Posted October 19, 2011 If Bhajji takes his batting a little more seriously with his bowling being at a similar level as of now, I would prefer his inclusion over Jaddu. Seriously,Jaddu has improved as a cricketer in his 2nd coming but still doesn't look the long term investment he has been made out to be
vvvslaxman Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 If he doesn't he pull up his socks soon he will have even bigger surprise in Test match selection in the future. Between Jaddu and Ashwin they captured 21 wickets. Top 2 wicket takers of the series 11 and 10 respectively. It is very hard to drop either of them.
Yoda-esque Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Surprised? Really Harby? Thats how it all starts :First Surprise, then Anger, then Frustration, then Compromise and finally resignation Time for the next emotional phase to kick in.
ganeshran Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 To be fair, he would have done well in Mumbai and Eden too.
hiha Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 bhajji looks a better captain than dhoni:secret:
hiha Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 how does crap bowlers like pk nd munaf fit in odi team, knowing they r brainless batsman nd bowler at death overs+ cr ap fielders:dontknow:
saneindian Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 If the selectors felt Bhajji had gone off boil with his bowling, it would not be a good idea to get him back for the tests. let him play in the first class cricket to rediscover his bwling form. Ashwin has shown he is ready for test cricket, especially on home tracks. Time for Ojha and Ashwin to be ourtwo lead spinners for the WI series. Meanwhile Bhajji could play ranji matches and work on some of his shortcoming away from the limelight.
Yoda-esque Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 bhajji looks a better captain than dhoni:secret: Yeah...But Ganguly is the best no?
ganeshran Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I think he will be selected in WI tests. Would be surprising if he is dropped. Need to prepare turners and play two spinners - Bhajji and Ojha or Bhajji and Ashwin
BeautifulGame Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Even if Bhajji is in top form i am not sure he would succeed in Australia.Finger spinners hardly enjoy any success there even Murali was rendered ineffective. Even though Ashwin is an off spinner he is lot different with his action and also with his height the bounce he could extract in Aussie pitches might be vital too.So its essential we try him in the west indies series. If he does well then should be 1st choice for Aus tour
vamos_rafa Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 ^ If I am not mistaken, then Saqlain Mushtaq did pretty well in Australia. Not completely sure though.
gs Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 Harbhajan 'surprised' at being dropped We are really not!
MCcricket Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 Kumble is the best person for Bhajji to talk to, Kumble at one point in his career looked like he was not getting wickets and his bowling looked in effective. He was smart enough to realize what he needed to do , bowled a bit slower as a change up delivery and turned the ball a bit more, he resolved his bowling problem ,Bhajji is in a denial phase rather then saying , yes I am working on my bowling , this would make selectors more happy, same for Sreesanth
maniac Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 well when our selectors keep going back to Yuvraj in test matches despite having so many talented middle order batsmen...what are the odds of Bhajji, Sree and even RP eventually finding a place in the team given their previous performances
BERGKAMP Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 He should go to Australia and play some domestic cricket there to see if he can get some confidence and rhythm back.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 i am a big supporter of harbhajan, but he needed to be dropped for his own good. i think he will come back a much better bowler. he has plenty of cricket left in him.
Trundler27 Posted October 28, 2011 Posted October 28, 2011 darty needs to re-evaluate his game and not keep on harping about previous performances while kumble was the main spinner. Honestly, ever since he took over the mantle of being the no.1 spinner, he has not lived up to expectations. He is no longer considered a threatening bowler by any opposition. Teams just looked to play out Zaheer's quota and attack the rest of the brigade.
