MCcricket Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 :two_thumbs_up: he is potentially very good and has no problems with bcci like nechim so should be in a year or two NECHIM WILL DO WELL IN odi's, can bowl yorkers, is accurate and slingy, HE IS NOT IN RECKONING BCOZ OF raja venkat not pushing for his zone players from assam , bengal.Shami is good for test's.

chainsmoker1985 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 We'll drop him from our state team next year for Veer Pratap Singh. <---- taller' date=' stronger, faster, younger[/quote'] Who is Veer Pratap Singh? Is he really fast? Any pics or more info on him pl

So Raja Venkat really cannot take his case forward in selection meetings; he should rather push Dinda's case who has all the required numbers now. Nechim's fitness is also a worry. Was not fit enough for at least one innings in both the quarters and the semis. Raja Venkat is doing his best to give him opportunities and played him before other players with better stats in the quarters, only on potential. Overall, he's done a very good job with the team selection for the East Zone team.
chainsmoker1985 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/player/528967.html New kid on the block. WOW, East is producing so many fast bowlers. From now on, I will be tracking about Veer Pratap's performances as well

bajrang Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 this years ipl will be worth watching.umesh, aron, dinda, will be on for Daredevil, nachim will be on for mumbai indians (bowled well in last cl20) and something tells me that wasim will definatley let shami have some games for KKR.
daryl1985 Posted February 13, 2012 Posted February 13, 2012 this years ipl will be worth watching.umesh' date= aron, dinda, will be on for Daredevil, nachim will be on for mumbai indians (bowled well in last cl20) and something tells me that wasim will definatley let shami have some games for KKR. They can't all plat together as Morne Morkel is guaranteed a start. It's a shame. Would have been nice for a team to have gone with an all-Indian pace attack.
MCcricket Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 http://www.sportsallways.com/MailScoreCard.aspx?MID=7b1153f7c25841c9 VEER PRATAP SINGH'S VIDEO HE IS NO FAST BOWLER THOUGH, GOOD ACTION MAYBE 125 TO 130.Nechim and Gony have done very well in the games they have played, if number crunchers like mediocre players , mediocre fans have theri way we wiill have Sudhindra , Sandhu, Badrinath in our test squads lol.
Cricket Tragic Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Yadav back to full fitness http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/current/story/557523.html
Cricket Tragic Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 My job is to bowl fast: Umesh Yadav Unlike many young men, especially fast bowlers, who are content playing limited-overs cricket, Yadav's sights are set on success in Test cricket. Ultimately, I want to play 100 Test matches for India with the same intensity, says Yadav, who has thus far played in just six Tests. If the selectors want to preserve me only for Test cricket, I am fine with that. Many bowlers play on and off through a 15-year career, but I want to remain fit and give it my best in every game I play, whether it is a 50-over match, Test match or a T20 game. The more I play, the better I will get, irrespective of the format. http://www.wisdenindia.com/my-job-is-to-bowl-fast-umesh-yadav
saneindian Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Hope they do not grind him to dust by playing him in every match. Needs to be given time to develop in international cricket in the next 12-18 months.
vishalvirsingh Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 I expect that He will surely DECLARE himself in Lanka and wud be the BIGGEST threat to lankan batters ...I will waNna him to bowl with Zak with the new Ball and in case India goes with 3 pacers and Ashwin they will leak big runs thru Rohit and Raina as Lankans bat well against Spinners.... If Zak and Umesh Strike at Start by getting there 2 to 3 wickets in first 10 overs - Lanka wud lOose and if they manage to play Zak and Umesh well , Lanka will have a good chance and india"s 5th bowler( 3aina + rohit) is the BIG weak link.
adi B Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 he is an asset for indian team, should play most series, shouldnt be rested or dropped too much, he is a genuine athlete ,wont get injured too much...all fast bowlers like steyn, wasim, morkel played in all formats and wanted to play more, to remain fit nd be among action
vishalvirsingh Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 I expect lanka to be 50 for 3 after 10 overs as I definitely expect Zak and Umesh to rip 3 wickets in first 10 overs....... If lanks is 40 for no loss after 10 overs or even 40 for 1 Lanks wud have done a great job. Against zak and Umesh
adi B Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 ^agree .. but knowin dhoni, he will play vinee nd open the bowling with 2 trundlers, him nd zak, who knows umesh might not even play nd if he does, he`ll bowl after 10 overs
Vilander Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 I expect lanka to be 50 for 3 after 10 overs as I definitely expect Zak and Umesh to rip 3 wickets in first 10 overs....... If lanks is 40 for no loss after 10 overs or even 40 for 1 Lanks wud have done a great job. Against zak and Umesh i would expect them to make two kinds of pitches. 1, Rank turner 2, national highway flat.
SLICKR392 Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 I expect lanka to be 50 for 3 after 10 overs as I definitely expect Zak and Umesh to rip 3 wickets in first 10 overs....... If lanks is 40 for no loss after 10 overs or even 40 for 1 Lanks wud have done a great job. Against zak and Umesh 9 out of 10 times Tharanga will fall against Zak...and 7 out of 10 Sanga will nick Zak. Dilshan wasn't comfortable with Yadav in the CB series, he top edged and outside edged couple of times. Mahela, as usual, will score runs.
