Trichromatic Posted October 17, 2011 Posted October 17, 2011 Well MSD could have been rested from T20. Along with Raina and Praveen. PP, Saurabh and Varun amybe instead but oh well They all should be rested immediately after series wins.
vishalvirsingh Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Uthappa' date=' Yusuf, Dhoni, Raina.. power hitting right through. all it misses is Yuvi. Should be able to handle any attack on a flat pitch.[/quote'] I PRAY FOR ENGLISH BOWLERS....these indian power hitters are DEVILS on indian tracks....english bowlers- best of luck if all the 4 play in the eleven.
saneindian Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Is this the t20 team selectors want to play in next years t20 WC? Vinay, PK, Aravind? If fit Sehwag, Gambhir and Yuvraj will comeback (which would mean Rahane, Jadeja and Manoj Tiwary going out) but the pacers are going to be the same? Should have given a go to Aaron and even Abu Nechim. If IPL and t20 performances dont get you into the t20 squad, whats the use of playing those?
vishalvirsingh Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I PRAY FOR ENGLISH BOWLERS....these indian power hitters are DEVILS on indian tracks....english bowlers- best of luck if all the 4 play in the eleven. we shud have asked valthaty to open with Yusuf follwed by Virat uthappa dhoni raina....oooh the dreaDED combination of POWER hitters- valthaty( best option is sehwag since he is not there valthaty is his near replacement for a T20) YUSUF- the ultimate Power hitter which every bowler in the world dreads to bowl.... uthapa - in full form and is a power hitter raina dhoni and UV also some where
ganeshran Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Valthaty is a near replacement for Sehwag ? :giggle:
cowboysfan Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 he is in the squad but i doubt he will play unless dhoni sits.
Number Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I love Uthappa's batting , but he is very inconsistent for ODIs. He should be there in T20s , he can be a decent wicket-keeper and good batsman in this format.
Trundler27 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 I'm glad they picked aravind instead of aaron..... aravind has a strong likelihood of getting destroyed by the english batters and then perhaps like thiru kumaran who once went for 80 odd runs against neighboristan would never play international cricket again. The batting line-up looks perfect for indian conditions and the spinners are good as well. Let's show these t20 world champs 'what we are at home' :hysterical:

Sid Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 he is in the squad but i doubt he will play unless dhoni sits. What?He is selected as an opener,he will definately play.

Trichromatic Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 1. M S Dhoni 2. Suresh Raina 3. Ajinkya Rahane 4. Virat Kohli 5. Yusuf Pathan 6. Ravindra Jadeja 7. R Ashwin 8. Praveen Kumar 9. Vinay Kumar 10. Umesh Yadav 11. Manoj Tiwary 12. Varun Aaron 13. Robin Uthappa 14. Rahul Sharma 15. S Arvind
Trundler27 Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 Aaron and Aravind are both there in the t20 squad. ODI & T20 Squad That's odd..... the bcci site has aaron in the t20 squad and cricinfo does not..... Since both those sources are not very reliable I don't know which one to trust :giggle:
Trichromatic Posted October 18, 2011 Posted October 18, 2011 ^If anyone receives media release of BCCI, then he can confirm it.
skindia Posted October 20, 2011 Posted October 20, 2011 today he made 92 runs in just 36 balls against hyderabad and yesterday 59 in 29 balls against tamilnadu...he is best as opener.
