Not in England. In India it would have been interesting. we almost never lose at home but this England team is extremely strong at tests
I don't think so, England just had lot of luck they are okay side nothing great. when fricking Tim Brsenan is taking wickets and scoring 90 that all I need this fricking england side was just lucky . They caught Indians who were drop dead tired and non stop playing and injuries. Naseer hussain and Vaughan can shout all they want, I still say England is running more on luck than on talent.

Luck or no luck. Injuries or no injuries, we were thoroughly outplayed in the England tests and the sooner we accept it and move on, the better. It exposed several problems in the bowling line up that require urgent attention of BCCI

Nah' date=' they're a very good test side. I don't think they can win a test series in India but not many sides have - 2 in the last 24 years.[/quote'] i agree with this,we need our spinners to bowl very well on turning tracks to even consider a whitewash in the test.the problem is BCCI will not go for real turner because the idiots at ICC will consider it a substandard pitch.

Can you name 4 bowlers who can play 4 tests for India and take 20 wickets in a match? Don't lose your head with few ODI wins. Australia defeated England 6-1 after Ashes and this was nothing compared to 3 innings losses they suffered.

Thats True. But for the moment, lets just enjoy Sweet Revenge

Agree with Vib. Great win and it feels good but people are getting carried away here. The big series is really the one in Australia. If we lose badly there, all these ODI wins at home will count for nothing.

Depends on what you think is important. Aus and Eng think tests are. Ppl from SC give more value to ODIs.

We are not winning the series in Aus,we should be realistic, actually we will do well to even draw the series there. So lets enjoy what we are winning.

In ODI's India is definitely a better team than England anywhere if they have the best 11 playing. I personally don't think India will have any problems beating England in a test series in India but after a 0-4 drubbing it's hard not to consider England a better test team. Looking forward to the test series next year, wonder if England will still be no.1 by then.

Win' date=' loss or draw, that will be what we're judged on.[/quote'] I know that but these ODI wins makes me happy especially after that humiliation in England. And more than Aussie tour I am looking forward to Poms coming here for tests next year :finger: (Coz I know Aussies will be too good in tests in Aus :(()

I am not losing my head over this trivial odi series, That test series win was more due India being not ready than England being great. India had so many things that went wrong with zak getting hurt during first test and our openers not being ready. On whole Indians looked jaded you could not blame them they were on high after winning world cup but they never got to enjoy that famous win with endless and mindless cricket dished out by BCCI. As series went on morale which not many people give a second thought changed for Indians for worse and England it went thru roof and result you got 4-0 drubbing. This series was replica of 1993 series in India where England was drubbed 3-0 but when that series started it was also a very close one but things went wrong for England that series exactly like what happened to Indians on this tour. If you look at last 30 years of test cricket between England and India it always has been very close mostly 1-0 wins I don't think it has changed.

Of course we're happy but I just think that some people are getting carried away. It shouldn't overshadow problems that we have. Don't worry about series in India - We run on auto pilot in India. Worst case scenario vs a good team is a drawn series / vs a crap team is 1-0. The opposition have to be really good AND we have to be really crap to lose in India.

In worst case scenario, Kanpur will be repeated. :P
