His action to me is unique, does not resemble like anyone but Anwar Ahmed himself. Nice flowing action. Should be in front of the camera in spotlight to get him noticed.

Let him play in first class for 1-2 yrs and learn how to get out the batsmen. He definitely needs some experience. He should have target in his mind to get selected in next two years. That won't be a bad age(27-28) at all to get selected for national team. And he don't have raw pace as well which he can loose in 2-3 yrs. So, I feels that he definitely have potential. Just need to fine tune few things and playing first class is the best thing to do, playing in the middle and there are lots of quality batmen in our first class cricket today. He will be perfectly grilled there and then come out well cooked.

In that video, it looks like that basics are very well covered, very tall, good pace and very clear action and a little bit of movement. But, seeing live on tv in a match will be a better idea

I was looking at the archived videos from Buchi Babu tournament, and saw a 17 year old bowler from Bengal Ravikant Singh , he seems to have played age group cricket, similar height and build to Agarkar, he seems to be nippy , what do u guys think of the similarities.

Let us not get too excited. He bowls in the plate league(against Goa, J&K etc). Having said that looking at the video posted there sure is some potential there. Hope he comes through the ranks.

Agree. He looked the most impressive of domestic bowlers in the videos of Buchi Babu. He was bowling like matured bowler not like a rookie. Can easily make into the Indian team soon if he continues his good work. He looks a late bloomer and can be a very good addition after Zak, still 25 is not that old. Vinay is already 27, same is Aravind.

Two different things being in McGrath mode does not make one as good as or even half as good as McGrath, biggest example Munaf and Mahroof.

Plus i am not sure if he has the ability to take it away from the left handers... and please don't make comments on my cricket knowledge as i had compared him to zoysa on the basis of his action.... and not the effort he puts in or the pace with which he bowls

Zoysa at the beginning of his careers bowled 130+ consistently and its seems the same way for him... although i donot have the speed guns to check... i agree he does bends his back and puts effort but as i said with the kind of angle he bowls from he will be more effective against right handers.. Plus i am not sure if he has the ability to take it away from the left handers... and please don't make comments on my cricket knowledge as i had compared him to zoysa on the basis of his action.... and not the effort he puts in or the pace with which he bowls

If someone on this forum which is about cricket, compares Langer to Lara as being similar that would be ridiculous, Zoysa is as far different to Anwar Ahmed in that sense and it is ridiculous for someone to say they were similar, for all his career Zoysa bowled 124 k's, walked to the crease, no follow thru or delivered upright without bending his back, no jump, how different is that from the video u saw of Anwar Ahmed, makes me wonder what u saw or know.
