LoL, what about the muppet, MS Dhoni? Every one of you is ignoring the elephant in the room. His last three test scored read: 0, 0, 0*. Ah....now I get it. He's improving isn't he?
Yes. Also Ganguly > Dhoni

:dito: And I also think its time for Ganguly to do a Afridi and return back from retirement as a captain. It will solve both issues no.6 batsman and Ganguly back as captain.

UV has had enough of come backs in test XI... I think it is time we start incubating Rohit/Kohli/Pujara - before SRT/Dravid retire.
And by the time he cements his place in the team he will have only 4-5 years left. No point in persisting with him.

With his fitness/weight issues, I doubt he will survive even those 4-5 years. Complete waste of a Test spot.

With his fitness/weight issues' date=' I doubt he will survive even those 4-5 years. Complete waste of a Test spot.[/quote'] 4-5 years at best. But looking at his current form, he will take 2 years to settle down if he is consistently given chance and within next 2-3 years, he will be finished unless there is some Tendulkar type renaissance. India has to play 16 more tests till 2012. Only 4 outside subcontinent. We should invest this time to groom some young player who can play for at least 8-9 years after that.

Didn't show any promise. but captain has shown faith in him by picking over kohli in this test so he will be given another chance. Just one test and then axed , it won't look good tbh.

Can't see him succeeding even if given chances consistently for the next two years. Too many technical flaws and he doesn't really have the grit to grind out runs when struggling.

Both are not good enough IMO. Kohli looked pathetic against Fidel Edwards and co in West Indies. The pitches are not the same here but nothing suggests he could do well against Aus, SA and Eng in their conditions with the flaws in his technique.

Dont see Kohli doing well in Australia. He does have few class shots, but what i saw in WI was just :haha:. I do have high hopes from Rohit Sharma, not thats a player who can adjust to test cricket. But our selectors are dumb.

The form Virat was in going into this series' date=' he should have been guaranteed a spot. [b']Don't know on what basis they picked Yuvi
Simple because he has played more number of ODI games than Virat :cantstop:. Selectors were on right track last year when they dropped him from the test team and started looking beyond him for that no.6 spot. But after a great world cup ,he has been selected back in the test side primarily because of his ODI performances eventhough he has been a proven failure in test cricket facepalm.gif

Think Rohit would have featured if he was fit, in some way. Kohli has been in good ODI form but his struggles in WI show that maybe he is not ready yet, but I think this is the only way he can learn- more exposure to tests. Not going to gain much by hammering domestic trundlers. To be fair the selectrors are being consistent with Yuvraj, I think he he had one good knock in England before his injury and batting at 6 is not easy

Why is everyone going on about Kohli struggling in windies. Thats the point. He is young and will learn and improve. He will have learnt loads from that windies series, good young players often have to fail first to learn how to succed. Don't make me list players who flunked but came back from ZK to Gambhir to S Waugh. Get him in now. Good home series to come back in and then go to oz. He has the abillty just needs time in side. His odi knocks show the ability he has

i thnk yuvi and kohli shd be tried as much as dey can be as once PUJARA is fit he should be da GO-2 guy for the selectors... he's a class apart from des ODI specialists...
