gaurav92 Posted November 10, 2011 Author Posted November 10, 2011 81/1 Not such a bad pitch afterall.
kubrickian Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Amazing stuff. I went out for a bit after Australia got bowled out in 1st innings and when I came back SA were playing their 2nd innings. It took me a while to register what had happened.
vamos_rafa Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 This is turning out to be a great test match alright, but would not there be an ICC probe on this pitch? For heaven's sake, 2 teams have been all out within 2.5 sessions!!! Was the Galle pitch this bad?

If it helps spinners, thats a different story.
Trundler27 Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 This track is really well suited for test match cricket..... tbh, it wasn't bad batting apart from what haddin did today, but for the most part it was some amazing seam bowling from both sides. This was some hardcore test cricket. As long as the bounce is true and consistent, the pitch can not be blamed.... the problem with some of the sub-continental pitches stems from the grubbers and shooters that start happening from the 2nd day onwards. That is what becomes dangerous for the batters and keepers etc.
nitinbwj Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 who in the blue hell is vernon philander...:finger:
kabira Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 Capetown Pitch What a bizzare day. 23 wickets in a single day. Will ICC have bowls to ban this pitch for 2 years? They did same with Delhi.
Serani Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 nothing wrong with the pitch. poor batting, a true test team like england would have racked up 400.
Crookbond Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 What a bizzare day. 23 wickets in a single day. Will ICC have bowls to ban this pitch for 2 years? They did same with Delhi. Lets be fair here. The pitch didn't have Kotla/Jamaica like daemons. Modern day batsmen lack the apetite.
panther Posted November 10, 2011 Posted November 10, 2011 nothing wrong with the pitch. poor batting, a true test team like england would have racked up 400. sigh
