vvvslaxman Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Who cares.. whether he was paid to do or not. happened 15 years back. What is next.. venkatragavan saying 1983 WI series was fixed? Sandip patil saying 1984/85 england series was fixed? Fact is Kambli's career was far from over at the end of 1996 world cup. He played sufficient matches to prove himself. He didn't do anything worthwhile. I am glad we don't have characters like him in the side.
Andrew Peter Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 You are saying Kumble didn't give 100% or srinath  Yes and Kumble /Srinath fall under the batter's category right? Did I say Honest Batsmen or Honest Players?
vvvslaxman Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Yes and Kumble /Srinath fall under the batter's category right? Did I say Honest Batsmen or Honest Players? Srilanka lost 3 quick wicket.s India allowed them to score 250. Would you say bowlers were involved? I can every single match ever happened is a scam based on a scoreboard. I could say Sachin was involved in match fixing in 2003 final because he played a risky pull shot even after escaping a risky pull shot earier.
kabira Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Kambli must be getting ready to enter politics or perhaps Big Bosses house.
Stuge Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Star news is certainly trying best to make it sensational. They are showing Digvijay's comment : Azhar was a great captain. :WTF: ARRG !! !
The Outsider Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Of course he was paid to come up with these statements. Pity on people who take such random ramblings seriously after each and every team member who cared to comment on the incident, including Wadekar, a guy with immaculate integrity, has come out and said that Kambli's statements are a load of BS. I feel Kambli got a raw deal in selection at times - he was more suited to test cricket than ODIs in my opinion. There were similar rumors about the '87 SF being fixed by the Bombay lobby of Gavaskar, Vengsarkar, and Shastri to get rid of Kapil as captain - Gavaskar got bowled through the gates after scoring 4, Vengsarkar did not play because of a stomach infection, and Shastri did his stepping out of the crease only to pat the ball back to bowler with exemplary perfection. Having watched both matches and to choose between which had the higher probability of being fixed, I would pick the '87 SF. Let the Mumbai police start an inquiry on that.

I will take your bait and raise it, rather twist it 180 degrees. I say Kapil Dev and north brigade fixed it. Kapil won the toss and put England to bat. All the 4 key bowlers - Kapil, Prabhakar, Chetan Sharma and Maninder Singh were Northies. Maninder kept tempting Gooch outside leg stump and Gooch merrily swept away. Kapil did nothing. Prabhakar and Chetan were really not capable to do much anyway. Except Chetan tried to act Gladiator and smot the first ball he faced for a lovely catch. Kapil did his piece by making quick runs, Gatting placed himself at deep position, Kapil watched it and hit it straight to him. Northies fxed the game I say. That being said the Westies tried their best. Heck the the haramkhors played two wicket-keepers from the same zone, Chandu Pandit and More (who gloriously scored a duck if I remember correctly). Who the eff fixed the game???

He made things worse for himself with his hopelessly poor attitude and work ethics. Not to mention to get drunk and wake up your team members the night before the test match doesn't win you any brownie points.
urbestfriend Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Kambli has to make a living on his cricketing past and he has to maintain his expensive wife , so he is in compulsion to sell his team mates to make money..He has always been loose character as seen in the past, he even *****ed about SRT in sach ka samna for some bucks ..I have no doubt that Kambli is making these accusations for money.
Manny_Pacquiao Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 LOL i cant believe how much air time kambli has gotten as a consequence of his tearful little outburst. isnt this the same guy who accused tendulkar of refusing to help him throughout his career or something like that.
akshayxyz Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 How does his hot wife put up with this bag of crap.

He accused Tendulkar in Sach kaa saamna but again that show was scripted
Ultimate_Game Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Here's Kambli's recent track record... 1. Blames BCCI for conspiring against him for not giving him enough chances. 2. Blames Tendulkar for not backing him up. 3. Blames all and sundry for not being recalled in the Indian team. 4. Makes the claim that he thinks the 96 WC Q/F was fixed. I repeat he "thinks" so and doesn't have any proof or evidence. If Kambli is credible then I'm sure we have to take the likes of Sarfraz Nawaz seriously as well :giggle:
Sid Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 In all this fixing allegations ,2 news channels Aaj Tak and Star News where Azhar and Kambli respectively are cricket experts are having all the fun.
MCcricket Posted November 19, 2011 Posted November 19, 2011 Kambli was out of the team bcoz of his behavior, he was disciplined couple of times after his fights with his then lady, bad attitude and very poor player of fast bowlers and his batting got from ok to bad , showing his leg stump to the bowlers he could'nt handle his success coming from his background.
Vijay.Sharma Posted November 20, 2011 Author Posted November 20, 2011 Anyone who has seen Azhar Bhai getting out in the suspected match can easily figure out that it was deliberate . It was like a catching practice for Dharmasena where the batsman somehow wanted to hit the ball towards the bowler at any cost . Mongia , Jadega , Kapoor all suspects followed suit ........... No doubt whatsoever that the match was phhhixed. Sidhu Paaji , God and Kambli were the only honest Batsmen who gave there 100% in that match .Wow! Welcome to the All Knowing Fly on the Wall! Edit - Why can't we just accept that SL played better that day and thrashed the living daylights out of us that evening? Come on guys we were never gonna win the game the moment Sachin got out anyway...it was the fu
