These days Balaji hardly crosses the 120 kph barrier based on what I've seen of him in IPL and these speeds seem quite accurate. In the llast IPL Balaji often bowled around the 135 k to 138 k mark and his fastest was around 142 k. Here his faster deliveries were between 108 k to 118 k. Many around 113 k.. Do you really think he is so slow and if he were then would the wicket keeper not be standing up to him ? Also think about Nehra.

Aaron bowled 140 k in an earlier tournament. i am not sure he would have touched 140 k in this year's Ranji. The speed gun reading varies from one domestic tournamnet to another, sometimes even from one match to another. They are really inconsistent. Lots of bowlers who are hurrying the batsmen somewhat are bowling around 113 k to 117 k.

Who his Vohra and what is his bowling style, age etc. ? How many bowlers have bowled 135 k or more in this yearr's Ranji ? These guys will have real pace in internationals. There was a guy from the west, I think his name is Anand Raj, and he was bowling with good pace and bounce, touching 135/136 k.

Irafn too was around 120-130 kmph, add 10 kmph and he will be around 30-140 kmph. Or do you add those 10 kmph only for the bowlers of your choice?

I have not watched all the Ranji matches and if what you are saying is true then that means that the speed guns in domestic matches are highly inconsistent and it is difficult to consider the speeds seriously. I have watched a couple of matches where known international bowlers are bowling almost 15 k to 20 k slower and that can't be because of lack of effort especially when the absolute speed is down around 110 k. You seem to have blind faith in speed guns but even in international matches speed gun readings have never been standardized and have registerd vastly different speeds in different tournaments. The best way is to consider relative speeds of bowlers to get an idea.

vishalvirsingh Posted November 21, 2011 Posted November 21, 2011 RPS bowls between 125K to 136K...that's his speed now a days, even his high energy balls also don't reach 138K...his days of being around 140 are Gone...he is a lil faster than Irfan. Did u guys see pointing swinging the ball and bowling at 120K to 124K...our PK and VK are marginally faster
