He always looked as though he was netting in the middle. Loved his temperament. Wonderful player. I just think that he was a player who improved with time. I don't think he was an all-time test great but a great test and ODI player who was perfect for his nation.

Sehwag havent scored a single 50 in matches we have won in Australia or South Africa or England or New Zea land or west indies.I am not even about match winning hundreds but he havent scored a single 50 in any of those wins outside sub continent. Whereas Dravid hit a 200 and 70 in our win in Adelaide , Scored a match winning hundred in Headingly , Scored 92 in Perth , scored 2 50's in both innings in West Indies when no one else scored a 50 from either side and then scored a century in Kingston few months ago. Yep its Sehwag's rise that's the biggest reason we started winning overseas not Dravid :facepalm: Its laughable that there is even a comparison btw Dravid's contribution overseas with Sehwag's.Just goes to show how ridiculously underrated Dravid is among some of our fans. And what were you saying again, sir-ji ? What's laughable is how poorly you've understood our cricket. Our middle order succeeding is an effect (not the cause) that leads to our succeess. The ultimate "cause" is our openers. They make or break this team. 6 tests in a row we've flopped because of our openers. The only innings where we showed some fight (when we were: 214/2) came on the back of Waggy's 67. To assess the impact of Sehwag, you can't look at his performances in wins in isolation. Wins dont come out of thin air. They come from performances riding on self-belief and that critical self-belief comes from the way you play overall. That's why many rate Ganguly's 144 at Brisbane highly (even though that test match ended in a draw, it set the tone for the rest of the series). So yes, this decade is all about Sehwag for me, he's the most influential cricketer of the decade.
