Is it just me or Aaron's pace dropped a bit in the 2nd ODI?

i dont know his opinion...but i want people who overhypes any bowler also get warned by outsider :winky:
But where is the hype. He bowls 145K that what I said. Hype was made for Mithun by all Karnatakans calling him genuine quick, while he barely crosses 135Kmark.

Based on Cricinfo (leaving out intentional slow balls) : Yadav : Fastest : 143.6 Kph Slowest : 124.2 Kph Average : 137.8 Kph Aaron : Fastest : 143.1 Kph Slowest : 129.5 kph Average : 137.2 Kph There wasnt really much btw Aaron and Yadav in terms of pace. Both probably bowled a bit slower to use the swing conditions.Just that Aaron had an off day.

If I have to be honest, Yadav looks more consistent including both speed and accuracy compared to Aaron as of now. Aaron might produce better and faster balls than Yadav at times but in terms of consistency Yadav is a lot better. Having said that, Yadav has also got more experience in both domestic as well as international level and that might also be the reason. Probably Aaron would also improve with time and become more consistent. However, if you notice at their domestic stats you will realize that Aaron is probably not great in tests as his first class record is around 45 or so but his ODI/List A stats are quite good. On the other hand, Yadav is more consistent in domestics too in both formats. So, that might be a good pointer though Aaron would also improve probably with more exposure. Their real tests would be against Australia where their economy would also be tested. To bowl under 6 RPO against WI is not a big deal and stronger teams like Australia, SA etc. will give better ideas.

1 Pakistani troll , 1 Sreesanth troll... thread ka complete satyanaash. topic : both of them were slow today. In overcast conditions bowlers keep their pace low in order to get more movement through the air. So that may be the reason.

Yadav's fastest was 146 and he bowled a lot of 140+ deliveries, especially in the last two spells. Aaron was struggling to hit 140 consistently though. More than the speed, he was spraying the ball trying too many things. As I said in another thread, a good learning experience for him. Will bowl under flatter conditions, will see days when he won't get anything right yet he will be expected to bowl 8-9 overs of his quota.

:two_thumbs_up: i thought i was the only one defending him LOL people in 1 match want these guys to bowl like steyn..im sure if he fails once again some one wil say in team concentrate on line and length (maybe fletcher is the one askign them to ball fast afterall he made the famous england bowlingl ine up who destroyed australia when they were on top) and people should realise itsn ot like we have some better bowler as replacement

Whats your opinion about Aaron as well as Yadav?
I've hardly had the time to watch any cricket for the last few months - the Newlands test is perhaps the only match I watched for any substantial length. Haven't seen them in action long enough to form an opinion.

Can take a cue from Yadav in that regard. 2 years ago Yadav wasn't even half the bowler he is now. Looks to have worked hard on his run up' date=' release, wrist position and importantly on his overall fitness and stamina. Won't be out of place to say that Umesh (and Mithun) have perhaps got the fittest bodies out of all Indian pacers of recent times.[/quote'] Very good point about Yadav's improvement. When I saw him Zimbabwe last year, I wondered what all the hype was about - his pace while okay wasn't exceptional and he didn't move the ball. He looks a completely different bowler now - genuinely quick and moves the ball (admittedly he must be more used to the SG ball). Aaron can similarly improve though as you say Yadav is a really well built chap which helps.

Dravid_TheWall, this is your final warning. I've got a lot of complaints about your Sreesanth obsession and trolling in threads about any pace bowler. You are out of here if you bring up Sreesanth in any thread unless: 1. The thread is about him in particular 2. The thread is about Indian pace bowling in general 3. Someone else brought Sreesanth into the discussion before you.

If they are good enough hey will come up or else goes down... we provided enough greats so far....now we dont have any exciting talents coming out..happens..even Mumbai not able to produce many greats after Sachin.... * you pick everyday a pacer from Ranji and hype them even without giveing 2/3 seasons for them ....

Aaron seems to be like Sreesanth v2.0. Tremendous potential, can consistently bowl at 140ks, a touch of arrogance, articulate and a very confident young man.

Hype was made for Mithun by all Karnatakans calling him genuine quick' date=' while he barely crosses 135Kmark.[/quote'] I remember the jubilant face of Srikkant after Mithun was picked for his debut series. Kris said, "We have picked India's first genuine fast bowler". A genuine pacer who can't even touch 140ks. :hysterical:
