Sachin may have scored runs against some good bowlers all around the globe, in Australia, Pakistan, new Zealand, Sharjah, south africa, England against the best bowlers of the world but that doesn't even come close to the club bowlers in Mumbai and Baroda and Chennai etc...we should start youngsters in the international arena and then upgrade them to ranji trophy

None of the points in the OP of the Rameez/Hammond thread are made up - they are exactly the same points used to show someone averaging 55 today is better than someone who averaged 100 in Hammond's time. I can provide quotes for all of them. I just extended the logic to say someone averaging 30 today is better than someone averaging 55 in Hammond's time. Not that I mind this, was just expecting some originality and accuracy.

Anyone can score in access of 30,000 runs in the international league but that is peanuts against Mr. Ramprakash's achievements and to think, there are at least 50 others who have scored so many runs and 99 international centuries and I bet there are 100 others very close to that many centuries. No big feat... All 15 year olds should first play international cricket before getting an upgrade to the Ranji games. btw, I didn't know neutral supporters would stoop this low to prove some Tom, Dick and Harry better than Sachin. :fail:
