Nova Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 Its time for desis to start using online wedding gift registries. Makes life simple for all involved. This. I went to a wedding last year where it was actually printed on the invitation card.."No presents please. Cash only". I wonder if anyone ate their full and handed an empty envelope. There is always someone like that... :haha:

Ram Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 I got my best friend from college a pretty expensive home theater system for his marriage. It became obsolete 2 weeks. DAMN you technology! :hitler: :(( These days, I just stick to gift cards. However, when I do hand them the gift cards, I make it a point to tell them ‘Please do not buy groceries and toilet tissue with this money Buy something with at least some level substance. I do not want to you to remember my face every time you go to the loo or make channa masala.’
punjabi_khota Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 What kind of gift card is it that they can buy toilet paper ? Walmart ? :hmmm:
Ram Posted December 6, 2011 Posted December 6, 2011 What kind of gift card is it that they can buy toilet paper ? Walmart ? :hmmm: You can get gift-cards at Walmart/Target etc.. Or, you can by these pre-paid Visa gift-cards. They look and feel exactly like a credit/debit cards and you can swipe them to pay. You pre-load them with whatever the cash amount is.
