Crookbond Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 and 5C was supposed to be cheap. It was not supposed to be cheap, Apple never sells watered down products - never in history. It is 100 USD cheaper than the iPhone 5 - now if the country's forex rate is abysmal why blame the manufacturers?
velu Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 and 5C was supposed to be cheap. C stabds for color maybe.. dotn think apple will offend anyone by terming iPhone 5Cheap :dontknow:

It is just a downgraded version of Iphone 5. Isn't it? Iphone 5 was already overpriced in the first place. No, every Iphone has been overpriced till now and that is how they are #1 in terms of revenue in mobile industry. Iphone 3gs last year was being sold at 9,999 Rupees in India which was once launched at 35,500 for 16 GB version. While upcoming Nexus 5 will be sold at around $399.

Kya bharta bana rahe ho poore mathematics ka? Forex rate doesn't mean paise-to-paise conversion. iPhone 5C costs 549 USD (Retail) which equates to around 34000 at the time of writing. However, electronic items not manufactured in India carry an import duty (which has also been increased since August 26) and is roughly around 100 USD. That makes it 649 USD which comes to 41000 (at the time of writing). This overpriced baaja is getting boring because most companies sell at similar prices. Heck, even countries like Singapore charge more for an iPhone. Apne ko sirf Rs. Rs. dikhta hai but the market is priced on more stable currencies like the USD, GBP etc.
rkt.india Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Micromax launches its best phone ever @19999 Micromax has launched its much awaited phone for this season of the year, the Canvas Turbo. For the phone, Micromax roped in the Wolverine star Hugh Jackman. The Canvas Turbo has come for sale today at a price of Rs. 19999. As expected, this phone n runs the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 operating system on the 1.5 GHz MediaTek quad-core processor. It has got an primary auto focus camera of 13 megapixel, and a secondary camera of 5 megapixel like the Canvas 4. As we expected the company has moved to its first full aluminum body with the canvas Turbo. The Canvas Turbo sports a anodized aluminum body that also doubles up as antenna and boosts signal strength of the phone. The body has been rounded off at the corners to give it a premium finish. The Canvas Turbo has got a vivid 1080p full HD CGS (Continuous Grain Silicon) screen that promises to offer rich and vibrant details. This new technology developed by Sharp and Semiconductor Energy Laboratory offers startlingly fast electron transfer rates in comparison to the amorphous silicon used in conventional LCD panels. The result you get is a smooth display which smoothly and quick responds to your touch commands. The phone has got the new mode 2 wide angle technology that helps you view the screen from any angle, even in broad daylight. The company has packed the phone with a 2 GB RAM to complement the 1.5 GHz MediaTek processor, to ensure better processing. The phone runs on the Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean OS, which we will assume compnay will update later. Micromax has imported the Canvas 4 feature Blow to Air for the Canvas Turbo also. The company claims it makes life easier. This feature has however one of the most criticized feature of the Canvas 4 launched middle of this year. The company has however added another feature in the Canvas Turbo to make it an irresistible pick. Just slide your hand over the screen and the phone would unlock. For camera lovers the phone packs a 13 megapixel rear auto focus camera that offers some very good features, like cinemagraph (Capture a video and create a gif by animating any object); 360 degree panorama (the one boasted by the Google Nexus 4 as Photo sphere) and object eraser (erasing unwanted objects and improve that picture perfect moment). http://daily.bhaskar.com/article/GAD-5-inch-micromax-canvas-turbo-a250-launched-at-rs-19999-grab-here-4414827-NOR.html
