now the troll comes out' date=' not having a reply for ishant sharma being better than all their bowlers. enjoying your series against bang? there's another exciting bang series next april and then a zim series too.[/quote'] How many times in his career has he been adjudged the MoS? Get a life dude. By your logic, Murali and Warne suck . Poor argument son. @topic The OP has it right. Aus/Ind rivalry has been quite big in the last decade or so. Australia will come hard on them as expected . Who knows, this recent loss may just prove to be a blessing and the CA administration will be forced to put their thinking caps on. I still stand by my argument. Australia will win the Tests 2-0. Bump this post next year (next month) if you may.

based on current form and quality, india will win this 2-0. australia are just lacking the batting quality, just finished off watching the highlights of aus v nz, and excuse of green top is peripheral, their the aus batsmen just looked out depth at test level, luckily warner edged and swung his way to a 100, phil hughes is a sitting duck, khawaja is incapable getting anything more than 20, ponting's career is finished, hussey looks woefully out of form, haddin cue hussey, the lone hope for australia is the form of clark. if india manage a big score of 450-500, then australia batting will just crumble against an attacking field strategy especially if a fit zaheer and the surprise package ashwin hit their strides. i mean when is the last time australia scored 400plus.
Clarke's batting has a specific pattern as of late - he scores one century in the tour and has a string of failures against SL - 23, 60, 13, 6, 112 against SA - 151, 2, 11, 2 against NZ - 139, 22, 0 The SL tour is the only tour where he managed one half century more. Has not crossed 25 in 8 innings out of the last 12. Hope he maintains the same form against India, scores a century in a draw and doesn't cross 25 in the rest of the innings.

I understand what you are saying and maybe you are right, but the way the likes of Ponting, Hussey and Haddin are batting it doesn't exactly instill confidence. I mean, if they were to be replaced I don't think the new batsman could do much worse than they are at the moment. I'm willing to give them the chance to start the Indian series but if it drags on much longer, then you have to face the facts at some stage. It's quite clear the batting line up has severe problems, we have collapsed far too often. First change is obvious which is Hughes needs to go and spend a few more years in FC fixing up his technical problems, shift Watson back into the side. And then Marsh will come back in at the expense of Khawaja.
I have a question for you has anyone in media this brought this out.Why is Micheal Clarke batting at no5 instead of no3 and let Khawaja at no6 where in he can get his bearings for few matches like they did with. Now Ian Chappell wants Khawaja dropped because captain is afraid to face music early and senior most batsman in the team has become a walking wicket. Wtf does media guys like Ian Chappell expect from Khawaja,he was saying Khawaja needs to be dropped. This guy has walked in as de-facto opener as most of time first wicket which is Hughes is falling so early. Why are Aussies using Pakistani model where the senior player are afraid of batting higher up the order so they don't have to face new ball in case openers gets out cheaply.Don't you want your best batsman batting high up the order. They are better equipped to handle the pressure.

Can anyone tell me why is Khwaja even in the team? He avgs a pathetic 29 in his 6 tests. His FC record he avgs 45.Thats ok,but most batsman avg 4-5 less in tests than what they avg in FC,which is quite obvious, So at most he would be avging 40-41.Does he deserves a test spot in Australian team.Or is it some kind of quota player.

So what the f**k is Kohli doing averaging 27. Jeez give him break, he just came off series in South Africa in very testing conditions and did actually quite well with one fifty, which is more than Kohli or Raina have achieved anything of note in Tests.

this will be a tough series anyone thinking that India or Australia will dominate is dreaming.
Exactly. Neither side will have it easy and the result would depend on the form of key players and psychological advantage gained.

I think this loss has just been compunded by the number of batting collpases that have happened of late. I daresay those 'drop the whole team tweets' were said with an element of sarcasm. I think Khawaja and Hughes need to go. Ideally we will bring in Marsh and Watson. Ponting has worn out my patience too. Ponting and Khawaja will probably be safe for the Boxing Day test, but only because Marsh won't be fit, and I'm not sure that they're ready to bring in Ed Cowan just yet. Haddin and Hussey are walking on thin ice. Matthew Wade is the logical replacement for Haddin, but I'm not sure if we have any batsmen in domestic cricket that can replace Hussey.

That's the problem I think, lack of replacements. If we had someone banging down the door I think they would be out, but nobody really stands out.. I guess the next in line would be Dan Christian as he was 12th man? Maybe to replace Hussey at 6. I wouldn't mind seeing Watson move down to 6 though with Cowan given a chance to open with Warner. Then as you said, I don't think Haddin has much time left if he doesn't start scoring, Wade or Paine will replace him, most likely the former as Paine is injured. So Marsh is definately not fit then? That's a big blow.

we got hammered by england on lively tracks; dhoni and whoever play at 6 are going to struggle with bounce; zaheer is again trying to rush back from injury that means he isnt lasting the series if he even makes it and less not forget our test side is horrible when it comes to fielding For India it all boils down to can our middle order do what it has done for so many years. If it does then we will be fine

Should? Yes... Will? No Katich's test career is over.
One stupid singing controversy should not end Katich's career. Sack Clarke as captain and make Warner the new captain. Let the old guard go completely if it has to go.
