I'd give my right hand to watch cricket in that stadium or at Lord's. Hopefully some day in the future. I dont like the atmosphere in Indian cricket stadiums. Too much noise and generally people are not well behaved.

Someday Ravi, someday. All the more incentive for you to hop on that plane to Perth ASAP ;) I will just try to soak up as much of the atmosphere from the ground as I can. This is a now or never series in many ways.

The noise adds to the fun of watching the match in the stadium, would be terribly boring if everyone just sat quietly and clapping now and then. The behavior part I agree- abusing fielders standing near the boundary is very common and should be stopped.

Cricket is not tennis :) I have only seen matches in crowded and noisy stadiums and love the experience. Maybe others love quiet crowds, but for me it seems dull.

It was cloudy and raining on the day when the guy sitting next to me yelled out "Put some sun cream on you pommie bastard, you're getting sunburnt" The basic levels of sanitation and hygiene in Indian stadiums is disgraceful. No wonder people don't turn up.
