depends on batsmen.. in hughes case outswingers are more deadly for him and for hussey inswing... but i can see hughes attacking sharma but on these tracks its risky he might be caught in slips or gulley cos of bounce and seam movement

yep he should play.. purely as a batsman if he bowls he wont bat..he isnt fit enough to be bowling all rounder its really hard job i think his bowling will be missed badly cos on flat tracks he knows to use old ball which other australian bowlers are not good at

that's a very positive thing. with him and cummins out aussie attack is weakened considerably. all we need now is a ryan harris injury.

Why not Kohli. He has hardly got any chances in Test Cricket after being a consistent performer in ODIs for nearly 3 years now. I do not see how Rohit is more suited for tests compared to Kohli. I feel Kohli has a great technique for tests too. Moreover, he did not disappoint in the only chance he got in tests recently. And he has also proved himself in foreign pitches. Kohli has waited for 3 years for a test break. Let Rohit wait for a few years too after making his comeback. Dravid etc. wont play a lot of tests either in the next few years and he will get his chances. And if by any chances Kohli performs less than expectations then Rohit will get his due. I just hope that Cheeka does not force some Southie into the test team like he was doing in the past. Both Kohli and Rohit are far better than the Southie brigade of CSK. Vijay already has displayed his flaws especially in foreign pitches while Badri is too old to be invested time in. Youngsters like Kohli and Rohit needs to be given some prolonged chances instead.

Kohli is a good prospect...But he did play in 3 Tests in W.Indies early this year and made a total of only 76 runs in the 3 tests. The Mumbai test was his 4th.

Who will be our opening bowlers with the new ball ? I think Ishant and Zak. Yadav can be wayward at times and may waste new ball. Ishant will extract lot more bounce with it.

Ind should play without fear. The 3 seniors batsmen should try to enjoy their last series in Australia rather than play under pressure and under the burden of their own reputation. If they play well, then great. If not then Ind has to look at the "future" in near future anyways. A bad series will make it easier for some to take some tough decisions. Many times we hv seen teams take their senior players on a "difficult" tour to Aus only to see the series expedite their retirement process. Aus is not only an exciting place to play cricket but also a country with a great sports culture. It a place that can motivate you to touch new heights. We have seen young Lara and Tendulkar make their mark. I am hoping for the young guns to shine. The kohlis, sharmas, yadavs and ashwins should look forward to making a mark there. Viru, GG and Zak can enhance their reputations. Records are meant to be broken, what's important is how you play the game. Many times we have seen teams go to Aus in their shell either due to low confidence or in awe of the Australian cricket team forgetting that it's a country with great sporting tradition and one that can push you to get the best out of you. Hoping that team ind sees it as a place that can push them to get the best out of them and show that Indian is the flavor of the season. Good luck, India!
