I think Umesh and Pattinson can go on to break 100 mph barrier. I think someone from new crop will break 100 mph barrier like Umesh, Pattinson, or Finn. Not the ones who are already settled in Intl Cricket like Morkel or Wahab Riaz. Even de Lange can break 100 mph if he can increase his run-up. See, if de Lange can bowl so fast from such a short run-up, he can definitely bowl faster from a more longer rhythmic run-up

Yea, thats true. Pace is the basic requirement for this thread. And say, if a team has 3-4 genuine quickies, 1 or 2 out of them will surely go on to become Zaheer Khan or Glenn Mcgrath

Although there is too much 'shor-sharaaba' in it. But, we gets to see some new talents in the IPL. And next years IPL will be a bonus, coz there are so many players to look out for, Dinda, Uday Kaul, Gony, ABu Nechim, both Tiwarys, both Ahmeds and many many more. Maybe some completely unknown batsman or fast bowler comes up in next IPL

Is 2011 going to be the year of the "Revival of the art of Fast Bowling"? I know it's early days, but we've seen some seriously talented fast bowlers make their debut this year: Vernon Philander James Pattison Umesh Yadav Marchant de Lange It would be exciting to see these bowlers carry on and revive the art of fast bowling so that we can see an even contest between bat and ball unlike what we've seen over the last few years when the bat has completely dominated the ball.

Even this MCG track had perhaps more bounce and lateral movement than seen on any Aussie track in recent times. Lets see how long administrators/broadcasters/advertisers allow the juicy tracks to continue and tests to get over in 2-3 days.

Yes, the tracks have been helpful. But I also think the bowlers have been good. In the past, even on helpful tracks, there were very few bowlers who could exploit them.

NO, there are preparing these kinds of tracks for the last 2 years. Remember Sydney against Pak, Aus all out for 88. Aus against England at MCG last year 92 all out and that was more spicy than this one, more bounce and movement and more green grass as well. Gabba was flat last year but that too was spicy this year.

Add Patrick Cummins to it as well. Varun Aaron if he gets fit by the time Tri series comes. His length will suit these pitches more as he bowls fuller than Yadav and Ishant.

I just can't help thinking the fact again and again that Varun Aaron has missed has missed not even a golden opportunity but a diamond opportunity. For some reason, we always see new bowling heroes coming up in all Australia tours and all the bowlers takes their standards to next level. Varun would seriously been bowling at 150 case had he been there on this tour. Having seen Zaheer and Ishant raising their fitness levels, now I have no doubt in my mind. This guy can really bowl quick and quartet of Zaheer, Ishant, Umesh and Varun can be the most deadliest of all times in Indian history. Also, keep in mind, Varun normally bowls fuller length and he has more control on his lines than Yadav.

England have the best attack but they have not proved themselves as yet in the sub-conntinent so we are not sure about them. South Africans are extremely good, fast bowlers, swing bowlers, lefty in Tsotsobe. But they are chokers, they choked yesterday against Sri-Lanka in their home turf. Yes, if India goes on to win this series against Australia somehow, I will have no doubt India have the best attack at te moment.....
