CG Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 bhajji would have dismissed Ponting in both innings <10 and we would have won the test by now. Very unlikely with bhajji's current form.
Sehwag1830 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Very unlikely with bhajji's current form. Averaged 73 last tour in OZ. Yet dismissed ponting 3 out of 5 times.
kabira Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 bit disappointed.. bowled too short on occasions, needs to quickly adjust to australia pitches..
Shunya Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 What s the sodukku ball the channel 9 commies were talkin abt? any idea? do they mean carrom ball? soduku (tamil) == flick or flicker this is what TonyG and others discussed today... obviously...a pointless name...but it is the carrom ball
Shunya Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Ashwin for his age has become very unathletic...his fielding and running between the wickets should not be ignored right now...or else he wud end up like zaheer or laxman... like the bowling...hopefully he will improve further as time passes...
MCcricket Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 soduku (tamil) == flick or flicker this is what TonyG and others discussed today... obviously...a pointless name...but it is the carrom ball Wonder what word they have for chuckers lol:winky::musicman::haha:
Lord Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 bhajji would have dismissed Ponting in both innings yeah his current form n record in Australia suggest that & anyway hes got injured after the squad was announed so why fret over tha:--Dt
Lord Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 good returns given the condiions.plus got an important 30
Old guy Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 much better then bhajji almsot got hussey (was dropped) has good nack of getting set players out...
Sidhoni Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Bowled well in the last spell but was either too full or to short on some occasions, needs to find the right length on Aussie pitches
Asoka Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Ashwin's delivery to Hussey which that stupid fellow dropped was probably the ball of the day. The way he worked over Hussey in that over was mesmerizing.
Cricket Tragic Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Too straight and wasn't very consistent with his length either.
TheWall Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Ashwin so much reminds me of kumble in almost all aspects:two_thumbs_up: kumble was a legend.....
TheWall Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Ashwin's delivery to Hussey which that stupid fellow dropped was probably the ball of the day. The way he worked over Hussey in that over was mesmerizing. Yes. In the history of the cricket somebody has actually dropped a catch.
carnish Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 I'm in. seems to be the genuine alrounder India needed... batted pretty well when maharathis like dravid(this morning only), laxman and virat failed... and the epic captain cool.. what can i say about him :haha:
Clarke Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 Lets not forget, this was his first test outside India, that being the Boxing day test must have been harder to keep one's composure. The way he improved within the test itself was pretty impressive. He kept Ponting & Hussey quiet and almost got the latter. Another feature of his bowling that might be really useful is his ability to trouble the tail with his variations. Those that argue Mr. haveimadeitdart would've got Ponting's wicket cheaply in either inning based on 2008 :finger:

ganeshran Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 What s the sodukku ball the channel 9 commies were talkin abt? any idea? do they mean carrom ball? ya sodukku is the carrom ball. Thats the term used on the streets of Chennai
Clarke Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 n dont forget his batting' date='looked better than Kohli,Dhoni[/quote'] He's no mug with the bat, just that he was lucky in the lbw appeal from Pattinson :P
zep1706 Posted December 28, 2011 Posted December 28, 2011 He should bat ahead of Dhoni in tests outside the subcontinent.
