Dravid_TheWall Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 sree didnt play in both practice matches at NCA He did play in one I think. Anyway why the hell they asking him to do this? Would you ask Tendulkar to play the practice match? If Sree says he is fit, he is fit. I think Sree has told them not to select him as he is still recovering.. The practice match was probably a load of **** anyway.
Pagalpanti Posted January 14, 2012 Posted January 14, 2012 I don't see any point in Sachin playing limited overs, was surprised that he didn't retire right after World cup. It just disturbs the team combination. No doubt he'll play well and score but it won't help in anyway building the team. Also this tour must be followed carefully and young players should get chance as next world cup is in Australia.

Munaf bowled reasonably well in the practise games in Bangalore those under the scanner for injuries had to prove their fitness in the two matches. Some other injured contenders such as S. Sreesanth and Varun Aaron did not take part in these games. http://www.thehindu.com/sport/cricket/article2801269.ece
Cricketics Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 WTF. If Praveen is fit, why don't they send him for 4th test. I mean he could have easily played in 3rd test too.
Dravid_TheWall Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 http://www.thehindu.com/sport/cricket/article2801269.ece Thanks bro.
The Dark Horse Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Where in gully cricket? He had good england series and thats it ' date='He cannot bowl in conditions when the balll does not swing so he was not picked for series in india and guys bowled on flat decks in india deserve to bowl when conditions are helpful and in odis he has been hammered for last few years avergaing around 60 in india,If he was playing we might have not bowled out australia at mcg too.[/quote'] Indian bowlers supporter my ass:hysterical::hysterical:
Prakat Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 From all the evidence we have, the 'limited-overs' squad has been in action for two tests and a half now.

Needforspeed Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Lets face it. SRT's 100th 100 has become a headache for everyone, including the Board. Hopefully, with a minimum of 8 ODIs to be played in the Tri-Series, he will be able to do it and get it out of the way and then plan his retirement accordingly. The sad part is that it will deprive Rohit Sharma / Manoj Tiwary/ Suresh Raina a place in the playing XI.

Looks like the ayurveda therapies aren't proving to be of much help. Matbe its time to listen to what the surgeons suggested to him and go under the knife for his toe and shoulder. Yes the rehab will be long and will need lots of hard work, but at least it will get rid of recurring injury. BTW when Yuvraj, Raina, Irfan, Munaf can all be asked to play warm ups, why should the WC winner and a potential India captain :winky: have any issues in proving his fitness?
adi B Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 tendulkar should retire after asia cup. i want to see tendulkar vs pakistan one more time bro, the pakistani spinners will gallop him in no time+ i really feel, pakistan will beat us in asia cup considering it would be a spin track
adi B Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 team shoud be gambo rahane kohli rohit msd raina jaddu ashwin pk aaron umesh batting aint that strong, but i think it`ll do decent enough nd our bowlers will win us matches, bowing attackis strong
Needforspeed Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Aaron & Yuvraj not fit. If Sachin is there, Rahane is not expected to be in the team. Unfortunately Weenie Koomar is likely to be selected. He is going to get slaughtered in the ODIs. Wish they would take Dinda or even Irfan instead.
