India-KXIP fan Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Why not make the T20 WC more meaningful and hold it every 4 years in the olympics? 1 gold medal for India as well. And no better place than London for it.

Andrew Peter Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Why not make the T20 WC more meaningful and hold it every 4 years in the olympics? 1 gold medal for India as well. And no better place than London for it. Maybe in the future . http://m.timesofindia.com/sports/cricket/top-stories/ICC-considers-T20-for-Olympics/articleshow/11486605.cms http://espncricinfo.com/ci/content/story/447930.html For some reason both BCCI and ICC arent too keen to get Cricket included in any of the Multi-sport events . Cricket was part of last Asian games in China 2010 where surprisingly BCCI didnt even bother to send a team . In the end , Bangladesh won Gold and Afghanistan Won Silver . Also the Pakistan Women Won Gold . Inspite of huge pressure for Cricket to be dropped in the future , it somehow still managed to get included in next Asian Games in South Korea , with reassurance from BCCI that they will field a strong team . Now the Asian games might not appear as a huge event but thanks to it that the first Cricket Stadium is being constructed in South Korea , so in a way this inclusion is helping towards growth of Cricket Infrastructure . I think Cricket should first strengthen its status as an Asian Games and Commonwealth games sport before making a serious case for Olympics .
BeautifulGame Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 The Crowd support for Jai Bhagwan has been sublime
