Shunya Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 In ODIs' date=' yes. In tests, I'm not so sure. After all, we won't know until we try someone else, will we. I would like to give Dinesh Karthik a go, he was solid in England in 2007. While he might not be as devastating as MSD on flat tracks, he does have a better technique against the quicks on friendly tracks. Let's give him a shot and move Viru down to no.6.[/quote'] Good enough. Yes Dinesh Karthik or anyone can be tried...we are already bad at batting...might as well give someone opportunity at batsmen in the XI and see how good he is ...if better than Dhoni...then should take over...but so far from what we all have seen, Dhoni is better than all other options...
The Outsider Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 why wait for a year? :(( Because he can and the Indian junta which worships mediocrity will consider him a superstar for leading CSK to IPL wins and twirling his bat after Gambhir won the WC final.
prashsenga Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 But i think this tour has exposed his faulty technique as well as sehwag's .. If at all he loses the ODI series or fails to make a meaningful contribution i can very well say dhoni would be kicked out of test captaincy after this series.. laxman and dravid would be gone after this series. while sehwag could get dropped from test team unless he produces a blinder in adelaide.... gambhir will just about survive another series unless he scores a bigger one.. in short the complete batting line up would get rebuilt...
Old guy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Because he can and the Indian junta which worships mediocrity will consider him a superstar for leading CSK to IPL wins and twirling his bat after Gambhir won the WC final. gambhir deserved mom in final!:hitler:
surajmal Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 choo tiyon ke toli deserves a choo tiya as a sardar. Long live Dhoni.

Old guy Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I can't wait for his press conference :haha: trust me he will think of something cool
The Outsider Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I can't wait for his press conference Overseas games are just practice to improve skills because we play 80% (soon to be 90%) at home.
NeutralCat Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Want to hear the excuses for a disgraceful performance, how can a bunch of kids destroy this supposed "world class" batting line up?
indiefan Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Can he take "rest" from the next test match before the ODIs and give someone else a chance? Is there a reserve keeper for this series?
The Outsider Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Just looked at the replay of his dismissal - the bat was a meter ahead of his pad when the contact was made!
