ODI and T20 rankings are not that important IMO. You have the World Cups/T20 Cups for them. In Tests the rankings matter a lot as there's no other global tourney and the only way to determine the best team is via the rankings. In shorter formats I would much rather win the big tourneys than care about the rankings.
