When Pakistan was shyt, then I agree you guys had the right to dismiss us, but since Pakistan seem to be improving, do you think it would be a good contest? Why not. India vs Pakistan both have somewhat weaknesses that cancel each other weaknesses. And also most likely we would face each other in subcontinental conditions where both are good.

On a testing-ish wicket like the one Pak played today itll be fun viewing. Both spin attacks can put the oppo batting under pressure...though Ashwin/Ojha do not have the wicket taking nous of Ajmal/Rehman if we replace VVSL and Dravid it should be interesting to see how good younger guys are against top class spin

With India and Pakistan its not about Cricket. We cannot ignore the other issues. The other issues have to be addressed first. Matches in tournaments is different.There are ICC obligations. At the end of the day any sport is for enjoyment and entertainment, and two countries virtually at war cannot enjoy the contest. I cannot for instance, see many Arab countries playing a friendly football series with Israel. Sport cannot be seen in isolation from International realities. The day we can play mutual series against Pakistan is the day Pakistan stops being the centre and sponsor of terrorism against India. There are people here who have taken personal losses. I lost a friend and colleague in the Leopald cafe shooting on 26/11. He had just gone there to have a Beer with friends. Funny part was, I was supposed to join them, but at the last moment couldn't make it to Mumbai. I also know other people who have lost their loved ones in various blasts sponsored from across the border. In the last 12 years, I have interacted with hundreds of Pakistanis who live and work in the Middle East and know exactly what they feel about India and Indians. I wish this thread was not started. Maybe the mods should take a call on whether it should continue.
