Show_stopper Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Kohli should be disappointed with his shot. Match was there for him to win. He has paced chases many times before without such shots early on. Can't blame Raina. But he needs to come in at 6. No he has done that for far too long in his career. He has better technique than Dhoni to play on these pitches. Fair enough if UV was playing, but no way should MSD be playing ahead of Raina. Its really unfair that MSD does it on subcontinental pitches when things are easy. IMO it has easily shaved 3 points off Raina's overall batting average. I don't nderstand why Dhoni follows different rules in different conditions? I mean why send in Raina ahead only on away tours? So I think its with good reason that Dhoni covers Raina's @ss when the latter is going through a lean period. he is afterall reaping some benefits out of the dosti.
Sid Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 In the interview Dhoni said he told Raina to keep going til RR reaches 9 .....if Raina didn't play that crucial knock...Dhoni would've never made it...not to mention serious luck in the end there...if that ball was below waist height..that would've been a single or a tight 2 w/ a chance of run out....Yes he did hit a 6 but he waited too late Abe jeet gaye na,aage bado ab.............:finger:

He left it too late but redeemed himself today. Raina played a crucial knock and had to go for it when he got out. When we require a high run rate while chasing, Raina delivers more often than not. He just plays **** shots in innings where there are less pressure and people love to criticise him.

CG Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 We got lucky in the last over ,If australia had over from harris then match was gone,we made a mountain of a mole hill after such a good start. But happy we won atleast we have beaten australia.

Needforspeed Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Dhoni should be scriptwriter for suspense thrillers....He took the asking rate from 5.75 to 13 and then Bang!!

Number Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 He knew what he is doing. He knew they have Harris's overs finished so he went till last over. Also didn't look that fit to me. Risky but even with 13 needed in 4 , no way you can say MSD can't finish it off.
Needforspeed Posted February 12, 2012 Posted February 12, 2012 Must be one of the biggest on this ground. Morning the commies were going ballistic over Forrest's 100 meter shot.
