This thread discussed test 100s and all time highest run getters. These are the top 9 run getters at the moment: runsmw8.gif Kallis and Punter have a very good chance of breaking whatever the record is in a year's time. Kallis is the youngest out of Punter, SRT and him and has atleast another 6-7 years of cricket left. Things are heating up with regarding to most tons too. Punter is hot on SRT's heels and Kallis and Hayden aren't too far away. I'm fairly certain atleast two out of these four will breach the 40 ton mark. 100spi2.gif My money is on Kallis holding both records by the time he's done if he keeps on going in the same vein as he has been for the past 3-4 years.

kallis fckin doesnt deserve to be even at top 3. He such a boring and sucky player against trundlers. He struggled when pak, aus, wi had great bowlers. As we can see never played a match winning innings against aus YET

Tendulkar is a good 2000 runs ahead of Ponting and 2500 runs ahead of Kallis, the only realistic challenges he faces at the moment and going strong. Also has a 5 century lead over Ponting and 11 over Kallis. The way he is playing he looks the safest bet to win the race.
By a huge margin.Pwnting's golden period is well over and Kallis managed to score just a single fifty in last seven test matches.

If Sachin retires from ODIs ( which he should), he can EASILY play for another 3-4 years ( at a minimum).Unfortunately, that he wants to lift a world cup trophy is the world's worst kept secret. As a Sachin fan, I'd rather prefer he concentrates more on test cricket and produces more gems like these, instead of pushing his body playing LOIs. Besides, what has he left to do in ODIs anyway? His stats/claims are already monumental.

Worse was Ponting with an ave of 39.x, next is Dravid - 42.x. So, we know who pushed their career more - Dravid or Tendulkar! Look at Chanders and Sanga! :woot:
