Lurker- I am late to the thread; the answer to the question you asked in post #5 as to the heroine in Kudrat is Priya Rajvansh who was Chetan Anand's muse & featured in films made by him. just came to know this tidbit. AB shot Sholay and Deewar simulteously, in the morning it was sholay and in the night it was Deewar. Damn two of his best done simulteously and that too two totally different characters.
