I sure there is a website/phone number flashed on MTV (for all channels) where one can register official complains
Yes, I know there used 2 be some website name and no flashed in the bottom of the screen of every channel. I earlier didn't take note of that but now when I want, its not coming up. I think its BCGC something.

If you dont like what you're watching' date=' change the channel and openly mock anyone who watches the show. And quit crying and calling for mom to rescue you.[/quote'] 'Changing the channel' is one of the most stupid answer and its just like- if someone is exploiting someone(physically, mentally or sexualy) in front of you and they say if you don't like it, just turn your face. Don't mind but its like a slap on the face of those people who thinks that changing the channel or turning your face is the better option. In a way, they are agreeing to whatever is going on is right and they don't have any problem with it.

And quit crying and calling for mom to rescue you.[/quote'] That's a bit of an over reaction from you. I did't see him "crying for mom". He was expressing his opinion on a certain tv program and he is entitled to his opinion. If you do not have a decent counter argument, it would be better to keep quiet.

I am "surer" that it has been taken care of in the roadies disclaimer.
Dude, no amount of disclaimer it's going to help a Chanel if the contents are in really bad taste, which is the case here. A channel cannot hide behind legality and show anything they want.

the parody is unfunny :((
I showed the parody to my roomie and he did not find it funny either. I can understand the reason as he is a fanboy of Raghu. Is your reason the same? :--D

^ I meant, some part of the disclaimer might hint that this could have been staged.
We r going according 2 their claim only. They claim that it is a reality show and all the contestants are real. And the interviews are real and its not staged or scripted. They themselves claim this thing. So, accordingly as we have seen in this episode that they are really insulting a common man on national tv, threatened, getting physical and forcing him 2 strip. Next time, if any girl will go there 4 the interview, these b*stards will make her strip as well. On top of that, they are showing it on tv every day very proudly. And our govt is allowing it to. I mean, if these things have started to happen on national tv in the name of entertainment in our country, then I am ashamed 2 be an Indian. Just watch this and decide yourself [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJMmRRO6n04&lc=6l_9g1jY0-dNcCCDRqun3MgUWw8h_2qG2gxzOWb7RpA&feature=inbox[/ame]

@ chainsmoker1985, you raise some valid points. However; 1) MTV is not national television. 2) Like BigBoss, this dumb show also has the post 11pm slot (I'm guessing). That is because a Ministry of Information and Broadcasting directive states that programs with profanity and overt sexual content can be aired only after 11 pm.

I have watched that. I would just say - Raghu/Rajeev are (relatively) cheap attention seekers and no matter what they say, a significant part of Roadies is scripted.

1) I didn't know that it is not a national television. But, how is it? Does it make any diff.? 2)This show is telecast-ed everyday 2-3 times, once in the afternoon(time table varies), once in the evening at 7 pm and once in the night at around 10pm somedays and 11 pm somedays.

No reality show is 100% real. But, these contestants are real and 100s of youngsters who r going there to give the interview(or to insult themselves on tv), they all r real. Even you can go there. So, whatever shyt was happening in this episode was definitely real. Maybe, they scripted some of the tasks and later activities

Mtv is national television in the sense that it is targeted to viewers nationwide. Like zee, star, sony etc opposed to regional channels in regional languages. Mtv is not a national channel in the sense that it's not a government owned channel. Even though there is plenty of profanity in the show, they censor all profanity, so they can show it at day time.
