adi B Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 tiwari is a far better classy batsman than raina nd plays with brain, but he cant slog like raina, which is needed most of times
Sid Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 ^Under Dhoni,we have a superior record in Lanka as well.
adi B Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 malinga bowling on leg stumps intentionally, misfieldings from lanka, herath not bowling full over, poor throw to sanga so that kohli would have made his ground while running... all leads to one conclusion- fixed :--D
J P K Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 jaddu will play all matches since rahul injured dhoni does not like to play 4 phaast bowlers and get banned even if he wants to play 4 fast bowler only 3 are available rest are injured
Trichromatic Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Fixed. Neighbors se training le rahe ho PK bhai?
Ultimate_Game Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 that is true. The only place india has struggled against them is in SL . India has also won series in SL in 08 & 09 while SL has never won an ODI series agianst india in India India has won the last 2 odi series in SL and also Asia Cup :haha: Plus SL has yet to win a series - be it Tests or odis - in India :haha:
J P K Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 after Herath bowled his fourth over power play was taken
Sachin=GOD Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 yeah' date='[b'] now he`s india`s best finisher, a couple of days ago he was the worst batsman in the team, how the mentality changes :orderorder: fact is he played well, but if there is bounce nd movement of the pitch, he is clueless, the aussie bowlers are more than heavyweights for him, he aint gonna play lanka again in this series This is the 1st time I'm posting on ICF in the last 1-2 months :finger: and I've been a big supporter of Raina ever since he made his debut and I believed in him even when he wasn't playing well.
Prakat Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 ^ You can blame the captain if this was a young or inexperienced bowler being carted around the park. A matchwinner and game-changer like Malinga deserves to have his skipper bet on him in every spell.
chainsmoker1985 Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Seriously, it was a bad day for Malinga. The field placements were not good too from Mahela for Malinga. He could have tried some new ideas. It should not have been this bad.
Prakat Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 ^ Maybe because of the wicket he got against his name? :hmmm:
adi B Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 ^Under Dhoni' date='we have a superior record in Lanka as well.[/quote'] i know ur a dhoni fan, good , but bringing dhoni`s name to any statement, makes u look like a fanatic, u could have only posted the years, every one knows they were under dhoni
adi B Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 india are a far superior team than these frigging lankans, just the sharjah one dayers are a blot , during that time, we had the worst teams in our history
Sid Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 i know ur a dhoni fan' date=' good , but bringing dhoni`s name to any statement, makes u look like a fanatic, u could have only posted the years, every one knows they were under dhoni[/quote'] Kyun mirchi lagi kahin,Dhoni ka naam parhkar.
vvvslaxman Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 India had no business losing any match to this SL team despite poor form. This is such an average bowling side apart from Malinga .
Ultimate_Game Posted February 28, 2012 Author Posted February 28, 2012 Time we stick to batting as our strength and play 7 batsmen Enough of Jaddu at 7 and trying to manufacture all-rounder when clearly we don't have one. Irfan is the only one who can be termed as an all-rounder, especially in seaming/pace friendly conditions, since he can bat as well as bowl but other than that we have zilch. It's time we put this experiment of playing so called all-rounders to rest and went with 7 batsmen, 4 bowlers and the 10 overs to be shared by Raina, Sehwag etc. Our best results have happened when we did so. In 2003 WC we had Kaif/Mongia at no. 7 as specialist atsmen, in 2011 WC we had Raina batting at 7 and contributed against Aussies & Pakis in Q/F and semi-final. Today's match proves once again it's batting which wins us matches in shorter formats and sticking to tried and tested formula with either Yusuf/Rohit/Uthappa at 7 should be the way forward. I hope we do so in Asia Cup. If we make it to finals in this tri-series we should drop Jaddu and play Rohit at 6 or 7. It helps the batsmen at the top of the order as well as they can play freely knowing that a batsman is at 7 and won't be worried taking risks while playing aggressively. P.S. - If we had a fit Yuvi this discussion woul dhave been moot
Yoda-esque Posted February 28, 2012 Posted February 28, 2012 Didn't we beat them 3-0 or 4-0 in Lanka once as well..do not recollect. The fact is that they are big time FTBs
