Someone who was the first one to be chopped off if the team wanted to play 5 pbowlers. When he was at his peak in the early and mid 2000s, he was batting at 6, was shuffled around, never got his due despite winning so many historical tests for us, some of them on his own. I do not think any cricketer can be selfish, even selfishness can help a team if it can inspire some one to play and score runs, but these things are only good for perception, does not happened on the field. Every reputed cricketer comes on to the field to play and contribute in team's win and talking about players like SRT and VVS and accusing them for selfishness is a stupidity of the highest order. Yes, their time is up and they are at end of their careers, but it happens to every cricketer who has played so many years for his country. They all have that extra hunger and greed to play cricket as much as they can as it is not easy to leave the thing they loved passionately. This is human nature. Whether right now they are doing good or not or retiring or not is a different thing, we can question them, but still they have already done enough to earn respect from all, so it is not fair to tirade these guys and call names.

Selfishness, as you say, I find is going too far. For this generation - Kumble, Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman - I just can't doubt their seriousness. Not even an tiny speck of dust.

Boucher open to touring Australia if asked

Mark Boucher, the South Africa wicketkeeper, has said he will consider delaying his retirement from international cricket in August if the coach Gary Kirsten wanted him to be available for the tour to Australia in November. In March, Boucher had said that 15 years of international cricket had taken a "toll on his body" and that South Africa's upcoming tour of England would be his last. "I've spoken to a couple of people and they've said it's my last tour, but if people who count ask me to finish off against the Australians, then I'd have to think about it," Boucher told SAPA. "I do understand that playing against Australia is a massive competition and if I get asked by my coach, Gary Kirsten, to stay on and play, then I might seriously consider it.
