Cricket Tragic Posted March 6, 2012 Posted March 6, 2012 Grumpy should face capital punishment for ruining the team :P & Gauti should take up the TEST captaincy. We don't need maa behen from Kohli everytime..but someone like Gauti who uses it when required. He needs to perform with the bat to start with. His test form has been poor for a while now at a time when his batting should be at its peak.

There is nothing wrong in what he says...when you play for your country it doesn't matter what sort of pitch you are batting or bowling on! He might be out of form right now! But he is one of the best we have got atm. People don't call him Dravid because of his innings in Napier..but his dedication towards the team. After Rahul it would be Gambhir who would walk on broken glasses if the team asks him to do so.

We had some of our most glorious moments when he was the assistant coach. Did not he do enough to be elevated to the post of the coach? He also got a raw deal IMO.

The only reason I wouldn't want an Indian coach (just the head coach) is that when the team goes through a rough patch, allegations of favoritism start coming up no matter which state/region the coach is from. At least when the head coach is not from India, these sort of allegations won't come up. But IMO batting & bowling coaches could be from India.

They definitely wouldn't do a worse job than the current lot and at least will have the balls to make tough calls rather than taking the easy way out by saying "X deserves to decide when to go" or "nobody has been dropped, they have just been rested"

No. Chetan Chauhan was the manager of the indian team in the CB series. And I am not sure who the manager was during the T20 series. Rajput was the assistant coach then.
