Yadav has been playing for India from Oct 1st in WI series (Test & ODI) then in Aus. He has bowled lots of overs. IMO....the selectors did a smart move to rest him from Asia cup. No need to have him break down. Sachin in the Asia Cup team. How the time have changed :winky:

Yadav would prefer to continue bowling nevertheless. If this series was in sa or eng I would prefer that he stays. On flat pitches I'm all for giving him a break. However I doubt if this was the reasoning for resting him. Let him get a couple of big ticket sponsorships, and then we'll see how eager bcci is to protect our fast bowling resources. :)

Moronic decisoion to rest a man who scored a 200 in his last match in sub continent.And WTF is up with Sachin,seriously I was one of those who always thought he is not playing for that useless milestone but it is becoming apparent what is his motivation to continue playing ODIs.Now we have no attacking opener,both Gauti and Sach are similar kind of players,absolutely pathetic decision.

Pretty ordinary squad IMO. Sehwag and Umesh should have been there. Now we don't have an explosive opener for patta wkts and neither the quickest bowler from subcontinent These two should have been played for Asia Cup and then given a break for the next series. Asia Cup is too important to be experimented with especially since the Pakis are gonna be there, and I would prefer to unleash Sehwag at Gul & Cheema, and also let 150 kph+ Umesh have a go at them. I would have preferred SRT to be rested and Sehwag to be there on patta B'desh wkts but hey, SRT might get a 100 against BangBros :haha:

One bad thing about Sehwag not being there is that we'll be facing a very good spin attack there against Pakistan and he is one player I'd like in my team against them. He may not stay there for too long but he can still disturb spinner's length. Those mystery spinners , I guess may run through our side which has been playing on Australian wickets with no-turn.

Exactly. Viru is a terror when we play Pakistan. I thnk this is some sort of a memo for him more than the rest. We have already hit the rock bottom. But even with this team we should be able to beat Pakistan and BD.
